I feel the frustration. Tried deleting all apps, etc - still a no go. ANT and Bluetooth both connect, but neither register any power. I get speed on the wahoo app, but nothing else.
How did you “repair the trainer”? I have the same problem, did power cycles and deleted and reloaded apps. Devices are connected, but still no cadence or power readings in either the Wahoo app or Zwift, although I do have speed readouts in the Wahoo app.
I’ve checked this–closed connections with any other devices, done full power-off cycles. idk, and it’s small comfort that I seem to have a lot of company.
Sorry a bit of a typo I meant “re-pair” as in deleting and pairing the device again. Not physically fixing or “repairing” the device.
I have the same problem with my Kickr v5 (2020). Everything was fine, I did not ride on Zwift for a couple of weeks. When I returned, it did not read power or cadence anymore… Tried to re-pair, re-boot, re-everything. But without any success…
I can start a training with ERG-mode on, start spinning in the highest gear, then pedal very very very hard (3.5 w/kg) for 6 minutes → auto-calibration done. But this is really a bad start into training. “Free ride” does not work at all.
I have the same problem. I have been using the kickr v52020 for 3 years as well without any problems. recently i can connect through to zwift (using appletv) but no power or cadence reading. I also go no reading on the wahoo app. So frustrating. I communicated with Wahoo and since it is out of warranty they have said they cant do anything but maybe purchase at a discount or refurbished.
doesn’t seem right, seems like lots are have the same issue with the timing being the same.
I have same issue started about three weeks ago. After unplugging 3 times and deleting reinstalling apps I got it to work only to return the next day and it no longer works. Very annoying. I assume it is a kikr issue but I didn’t change anything other than Zwift app update

no idea. what device are you using to connect? I am using appletv, have been for 3 years with no problem no changes to set up. I even tried just connecting to the trainer through wahoo app. same issue connects but doesn’t transmit.
Same issu for me. Wahoo say its out of warranty.
I dont want to buy an antoher wahoo with this durability !
Has anyone tried to connect directly with Wahoo KICKR direct connect?
I’m having the same problem, and while I can get power to work for a few seconds, it usually goes out quickly. Not a Zwift issue, I can see the lack of power in the Wahoo app. Anyone get any indication from Wahoo if this is a pervasive issue? Or, is my Kickr bricked?
Just look at how many people are having the same issue. I emailed Wahoo and was really specific about my trouble shooting. Tried everything, even testing ANT+ devices on other trainers. They worked, just not my trainer.
First Wahoo service member I sent 5 emails over the course of about 4 weeks. Small updates. Then they transferred my to the warranty service agent (Canada), who sent me a shipping label. Instructions are to send back first prior to receiving a replacement. Fingers crossed it works out.
This is a 2020 model of the Kickr Core. It seems like a lot of this years model are going down with control board issues.
I also went back and fourth, trying all options. I decided today to give it another try and explain what I had done and also that many others having same issue with the same model. I received same response, they sent me a label. I dropped original at FEDEX and the have placed order for replacement. Crossing fingers, they say 7-10 days. I think they are aware now there is an issue.
Same. I explained the issue to Wahoo and they immediately offered a replacement unit.

Needless to say, this isn’t the experience we’d wish our customers to have.
I’d like to replace the unit for you. According to the terms on our website, your unit will be replaced by a Reconditioned KICKR . These units have been fully serviced by our engineers.“

Update: I received my replacement unit and everything works just fine. Same setup as before, I only exchanged my old Kickr. Which means my old Kickr was not working properly anymore.
Add me to this list. I also have a V5 Kickr, which was purchased new in September/October of 2020. Never any problems until a month ago (last time successfully using it was 11/29/23)! With the loss of time and holiday hoopla nearly behind me, I figured it’s time to get this darn issue addressed. I’m happy to have finally gotten aggravated enough to dig deeper tonight, which brought me to this thread! Suffice to say I’ll be reaching out to Wahoo.
Was just looking for a fix for mine. Crazy how many people are having the same issue. I purchased my Kickr September of 2020. No issues. Off of it for a couple weeks durning the holidays and no nothing. Connects fine but no metric output. ![]()
