Hi there.Who can I speak to about this issue.Ive been a B rider and yesterday got upgraded to A.I haven’t gone over the w/kg to get upgraded. Can someone explain this to me…
Are you talking about your category in Racing Score events like ZRacing, or your category under the older Category Enforcement system used in events like ZRL and WTRL TTT?
Under the old Category Enforcement system, you probably triggered the zMAP upgrade yesterday to pen A. It predicts your 6min W/Kg.
But most races use the ~7 months old Racing Score system now.
The 5.24wkg for 5mins that you cut out of that image probably goes a long way to explain Cat A old school CE and ZRS.
Who can I speak to fix this issue Steve?
There is nothing to fix, by looks of it.
Racing Score 700+ puts you in pen A (maybe even the “elite” pen) anyway, doesn’t it?
Although thinking about it, that 5min effort yesterday might have given you a new weight adjusted Compound seed score too.
You need to be proud of this issue and not complain
You started with a premise that you did not go over the category W/kg threshold, but that is probably not true. If you want to share the private PR data, zFTP, and zMAP from your profile on my.zwift.com (not ZwiftPower) I can probably explain where you are in relation to the category boundaries. There are some examples of how to do the math in the topic linked below, but if you want to share the data I will do it for you.
That is not the information I’m asking for. Go to my.zwift.com and look at the FITNESS section on the right side of the page. Get the zFTP and zMAP values from there, and the Watts and W/kg for the 3, 5, 12, 20 minute PRs below that.
Cat A is >5.1wkg zmap. Your 5 min power will be the reason for it.
Yeah I see now.It seems it was my 5min power but my Avg for the whole race was way below at 3.8avg
Welcome to the higher categories/ being a better racer; this is how it works!
Like that matters
Being able to force/make the selection is everything!
How does it work for me there are big differences between my powers on my zwift feed and on zwiftpower.com (I updated my profile)
It means that you’ve just done larger efforts outside of races or group rides (ie: free riding)
You can look at your “activities” on ZPower; but that only pulls your average for the ride duration, which is where the discrepancy is coming from.
(and I don’t believe it is added to your power curve on ZP either).
The way it works is don’t look at ZwiftPower to learn about your PRs. For either racing score seeding or category enforcement, you must look at your stats on my.zwift.com. For personal fitness tracking, link your account to intervals.icu
