I had a multi-hour drama trying to set up Click for Zwift, mostly I think because I couldn’t make my trainer connect to it via Bluetooth when I’d always connected via ANT2+ before.
Making absolutely sure Zwift could only see Bluetooth seemed to be the crux. Here’s what you need to do (including all the other stuff I did which might also have made a difference):
(My set up is: Zwift Click V2 / Windows 11 PC / Garmin Tacx Neo 2T / Garmin Tacx ANT2+ dongle
Here’s all the steps I took to get it done:
· Ensure your PC has a Bluetooth adapter!
· Ensure you’re logged out of Zwift
· Fit the Clicks to your bike
· Check/update Click firmware in Companion app
· Check/update your trainer firmware in your relevant app (Garmin Connect for the Neo)
· Go to your PC’s Documents folder, open the Zwift folder and delete the knowndevices.xml and prefs.xml files
· Unplug your ANT2+ dongle from your PC
· Go to your PC’s Bluetooth and other Devices location, find the ANT2+ dongle and click Remove
· Log in to Zwift and connect your trainer and Click (make sure they’re on, the Click will have turned off by now!)- you should now see that all your hardware is connected via Bluetooth.
· I don’t see the Virtual Shifting option in Zwift Preferences with my set up, but look in the Settings tab - if you can now see the Shift Style and Gear Range options, you’re sweet.
Hope that helps.
