My Zwift basically stopped moving last week when I went to try running on my treadmill and today I wanted to cycle on my Stages SB20 bike and that’s no longer working either.
In both run and ride my zwift app is detecting my footpod (running) and bike and my heart monitor no problem but then when I start the avatar doesn’t move. I’ve tried this on my zwift account on both my andoid phone and iphone and the problem is the same. Batteries/bluetooth etc all working fine.
Any ideas as this suggests the issue is somewhere within zwift but I can’t find any reason it would just stop working completely.
I would first suggest making sure you aren’t logged into both devices (android and iphone) at the same time. You need to log out completely of each device and force close them, not just minimize and keep it running in the background.
I’ve tried force closing them but you can’t seem to just log out of the app on iOS but it’s definitely not running in more than one place. I have until last week had no issue with both phones being in close proximity though
Welcome to the forums. This is Haziel from Zwift. I’m glad you shared your concern about the avatar not moving here. I understand how this impacts you.
To help resolve this, I suggest that after you pair your speed sensor on the pairing screen, you select your trainer from the next menu.
Additionally, you might find it helpful to use the Zwift Companion App as a Bridge. This can create a more stable connection, so please ensure the app is updated.
It’s also important to check that your trainer is updated and calibrated according to the manufacturer’s instructions. Finally, I recommend doing a test ride using your trainer’s manufacturer app to help identify the issue.
Please try these steps, and if you have any more questions or need further support, please don’t hesitate to contact us.
Thanks Haziel,
I’ve tried reconnecting and all my sensors are detected and selected and my apps are all up to date.
Note that I’m not just referring to my avatar not working on a bike, it’s also not working on my treadmill which uses a footpod instead of the bike crank sensor but again that’s also being detected without issue.
Everything is being detected on multiple devices when I try so it doesn’t seem to be an issue with the hardware on the treadmill, bike or sensors.
