Yeah, same thing happened to me in the event just now in Watopia. Started out seeing everyone else (and I was the only rider in the nearby rider list) but then they disappeared, then they reappeared and then disappeared again. Eric Min was in the ride too and he confirmed he saw it and a few other people saw it too.
I’ve had something similar happen only once before in a race a few months ago. But in that race I could see everyone else all the time. They weren’t coming and going like in this event.
There was only about 200 people in the B group so it’s not like it was overloaded or anything.
That sounds like a simple event configuration error.
Edit: or maybe not if it’s a repeated problem as mentioned above.
Rode the (new) 5 pm CET london TdZ stage today and it was great (but only 1000 riders)
Wow I hadn’t seen zwifthacks before – thanks for the suggestion it is a much better way to view upcoming events!

I agree, I keep forgetting about it but it is truly the best website to see all the events and I like the filter features. Especially if you only want to see the longer distances or a specific world.
As advertised, rode the TdZ Stage 1 A ride this morning at 5am PST. 470ish riders. Other than a few seconds of being ditched (everybody disappeared suddenly, but I’ve had that happen in other rides as well as when I was a kid) the ride went flawlessly. Well other than the knee acting up at the end of the second lap resulting in dropping from the 100th place group to a 280th place finish in the small ring…
Similar problems on stage 2. What’s interesting is that I had the issue with less than 1400 riders. Never seen that before.
