Hi David. I can agree - after 40 minutes I was at 30. Quite irritating. At least have the server load managed in such a way that I can at least finish. What a disappointment :-(((
Worst group ride experience I have had on Zwift (and there have been some bad ones). It calmed down for me after about 30 minutes but for a tech based company Zwift need to do much better.
Same here it was like demolition derby .but to be fair it was 5pm on the first day
I might try a quieter time looks like Iām going to plenty of free timeā¹ļø
Yeah i am sure they were not happy with that either I tried riding 1 h 45 Min in hope it will fix itself. But no, zwift said i rode 12 Min 45 sec Not quite right. I had hopes that i will get the āfinished screenā once i finished the 40 k because resistance changed from time to timeā¦ Gladly i always also record with my garmin
Same bad experience bere. 20 minutes ride but 12 on the dashboard.
After 22 minutes of 1 or 2 FPS, all went wrong. The game stopped and I wasnt able to quit the race nor to restart It.
One hour of my time thrown in the garbage bin.
I believe that zwift has run a performance test of their systems abusing of our time.
Just a glimpse at how bad this stage ended up being at the start. I hope things are better prepared when I race Wednesday but my expectations are overwhelmingly low.
This is exactly what I experienced.
Anyone know what specs heās running?
Same for me. 11640 participant on the Ć stage in London. After 23mn chrono almost stop, 1sec every mn. I continue same power another 1/2 h expecting the system will unlock but no way.
This is ridiculous to accept 11k riders if the system can only manage 500!
They should have limit the the number of riders, this is understamble, while the issue we faced is not acceptable.
Right after I did a short one out of TDZ in Paris and it works very well.
The issue really look to be the number of riders
Wow. Embarrassing.
This is what 11000 riders look like.
Rode 70 minutes, the screen said 30 minutes. Couldnāt even end my ride - could see people congratulating each other on ending the ride - I hoped that would clear up the field a little, but no luck.
There were about 6700 riders in my group (Group A at 20.00 oāclock CET).
Absolutely useless, spend 70 minutes at about 300 watts , with nothing to show for it. Apparently you have to record on a stable device besides strava.
Been used to a lot of mediocre quality from Zwift with regard to their events and game, but this just was absolutely undoable. 17 mins logged on more than 60 actual. Game going non responsive. Issues are 100% not on my machine going by all metrics (CPU, RAM, GPU, Network). This is money-back territory levels of bad imo if it continues
Did the second ride of the day, the 20.00 CET event (Cat C, New York) and had absolutely no issues/glitches there! Only (minor) issue was that the ride (according to the rider list in-game) was with close to 7000 people and my position was changing very rapidly, esp. in the beginning. The actual number of participants in this ride was no more than 1000 I think, which may explain the fact that I didnt have issues.
(My setup FWIW: Iām running Zwift on an older (5yrs) and fairly simple game-pc with Nvidia GTX 750Ti and wired 250MBit internet).
Thatās plain awful and unacceptable. Like Chris says in his video, āThere have been events with more than 6000 people before.ā Wonder what the problem was on Zwiftās end. Itās not like this is their first big event or that the number of riders was record breaking
I track every km I ride and I just want my 50km ride on my stats.
Yeah, I stopped after 70 minutes, with nothing to show, and nothing saved to strava or zwift, hurts more than not finishing a stage
Gerrie, I agree that 10000+ rides have been done without issue. Iāve done some of them. Todayās stage 1 had something up. There is no denying that. Iām not here to bash Zwift. Things happen, I just want to know what went wrong. Iāll be doing other rides and am certain they will be okay. That with the exact same setup. Was your video from todayās stage 1?
If the problem was on Zwift wouldnāt you think that all riders would have the same issue?
Yes and that had 11000 riders.
Do you know what is that guys computer specs?
