None of the previous issues ever since the update.
tnx
i have the same FW version and still all problems …
Same for me!! Any news? It’s frustrating and pissed me off!! Can’t finish a workout and never had this issue with my old Elite Direto. What should i do?
Thx
Forgot to mention built-in cadence sensor is mostly useless as well… (for me.) I have resorted to using an independent cadence sensor attached to the crank arm.
Unfortunately, and although the service here is decent (possibly an understatement…) I don’t have spare time to invest in the trainer. “Good enough” is good enough…
Hi I bought a Flux 2 about 2 months back - and been using it regularly with zwift no issues - however I needed to reboot my computer a few days ago, and since the i’ve had some problems with the connections - it connect fine - but suddenly it drops out and just shows “no signal” - this is pretty bum during workouts.
Any ideas? - i’m pretty sure it has nothing to do with the reboot - which was necessary due to loading-times.
Are you using ANT+ or BLE? Win10?
Just wondering… I had some strange similar (depending on configuration…) occurrences recently.
I use my Ant+ dongle, and chooses the ant+ device in zwift - but it is serching for both - can I avoid it searching for BLE
And yes it is win10
I had complete ANT+ disconnect a couple of times on my fully updated Win10. Could not make it see any ANT+ device even after re-plugging the dongle (lost my other dongle…), while still seeing all sensor on my '935 using ANT+. Switching to BT, I was able to continue riding.
Yesterday’s ride was uneventful…
Don’t think it’s a Flux2 issue.
Thanks for the reply - will se what happens, and enjoy riding in and outdoor
Merry Christmas
Alan, I have all the same issues as well. All firmware is updated and I get spikes, hard resistance, 0 rmp reads, etc…
As I have learned, the cadence is only “estimated” and not a direct read from the Tacx. I am going to switch to my cadence sensor on my crank arm.
Also, I noticed something odd and you might try it to see if you notice it as well. I run the companion app on my iPhone XR. When I turn on the “Do Not Disturb” mode, I get far fewer random power (resistance) spikes. I am wondering if new emails and voicemails or call, interfere with the companion app or AppleTV communication. That’s really weird, but I notice a difference
Since the spike issue has been ‘fixed’ the flux 2 has been ok, but recently started getting a ‘low’ frequency fluctuation in resistance, more noticeable on climbs as you’d expect. It gets soft to the point of spinning on a 5 plus percent climb, which isnt typical.
I’m connecting via companion because the guestimated cadence isnt much use, now use a wahoo cadance meter.
Also use wahoo hrm, which has its own saga of connection issues,
anyone noticed flakey resistance with the flux 2??
I know this is not what you wanted to hear, but no, mine is very linear, anywhere.
My flux2 has verry spikey resistance. When going up hill at lets say 6% the power fluctuates from 100W to 350W in seconds. It does not feel nice cycling like this.
Finally nailed it. The step by step for using companion to run more BT connections needs to underline, the BT connection on the phone needs to be off when connecting the trainer (and power) and cadence to ATV. Then, with companion running on wifi, force the ATV to request the extra connection through companion. At this point turn the phone BT on and connect the hrm, and only the hrm.
Mine needed a refresh hrm connection once in, but was at the start and worked seamless there after.
My own experience was confused by a dodgy wahoo hrm ( with 3 it took a bit of time to nail which was faulty ) and poor attention to the BT connections. The power issues are experienced when the ATV takes control of the trainer and the companion takes the resistance. when this happens the resistance control is all but lost.
Seems a bit daft in reflection, but the attention to when to turn on the companion device BT was lost on me, until now.
did someone find a solution?
I also had the 2000 watt issue whilst freewheeling downhill in zwift. This has been fixed with latest firmware but now when I stop pedaling it takes 6-7 seconds to zero the rpm.
Hi, I couldn’t get the trainer to show cadence, the amber light stayed on so it was completely useless for Zwift.
Easily resolved though thanks to online garmin support
The software needed updating on the Tacx Utilities app
