Dear Sir/Madam,
I recently bought a Zwift bike so I could change gears virtually. I’d read that my Kickr Core V6 would support this, but unfortunately.
Dear Sir/Madam,
I recently bought a Zwift bike so I could change gears virtually. I’d read that my Kickr Core V6 would support this, but unfortunately.
It does, update the trainers firmware as well as the zwift ride if needed. And make sure you connect via bluetooth to your device running zwift.
Also make sure that your Kickr really is a v6.
There isn’t a Core v6. There are Kickr versions v1 through v6, a Kickr Core and Kickr Core 2. Wahoo’s naming conventions are “creative.”
Kickr v1 through v5 will not support virtual shifting. Kickr v6 does support.
Kickr Core & Core 2 both support virtual shifting. If you have the original Core you may have to update firmware depending on what version is currently on it, early FW versions were before virtual shifting was introduced.

Hi @Johan_Plompen, welcome back to the Forums! I’m Francisco from Zwift Support.
I reviewed your pairing confirmation events from yesterday and the past month to verify your trainer’s details.
Since your trainer’s firmware is version 4.5.74, this version belongs to KICKR v5, which is not compatible with virtual shifting. For more information on compatible trainers, please refer to this article: Zwift Ride Smart Frame Trainer Compatibility.
I hope this clarifies things for you.
Thank you for your post.
Ride On.
