Sensor data drops?

Last time I visited, I had several bouts of power sensor data that dropped off for several seconds (avatar coasts along). Some periods were longer than others but typically there were moments of 5-10 seconds lost. My Edge800 was fine and also TrainerRoad kept up too.

This also brings me to my next point of HR ANT+.

When I start a turbo session and I’m not all sweaty, my HR strap doesn’t signal very well for the first 10 mins. The problem is, once the sensor signal goes, Zwift never picks it back up again mid-ride like my Garmin does. It’s a bit of a grind to stop my session, get off my bike and go over to my computer to rescan for the HR signal.

Hope this helps and keep up the excellent work!

I have noticed the same thing on my last couple of rides. Tried a couple of other apps to check if it was my stop and had no issues with them.

There are additional posts on this forum that mention similar issues if you have your wireless router near your Zwift setup. It appears the wifi signals are much stronger than the ANT+ signals and can easily interfere. Additionally, ANT+ signals for power meters work best when the ANT+ dongle is much closer.

A lot of folks, myself included, have solved this issue by connecting the ANT+ dongle to an USB extender cable and putting that much closer to the power meter
