Routes and badges not marked as completed

Hi,

I’m aware that this is a commonly reported bug, but I’ve been through all of the troubleshooting steps and can’t find out what I have done wrong. In short, I do a free run, I select a route I run the route and once I’ve completed the route I don’t get a banner saying that the route is marked as done and I don’t get the badge for the route. After looking at the other threads:

  • No, I don’t think this is an issue to do with lead-ins. I run the lead-in, then the route, and it still isn’t marked as complete, I’ve also tried running some extra distance at the end of the route.
  • Additionally, for the two routes in question I see the route progress bar roll over to a second lap, I also pass through a physical marker in the zwift world to indicate the start/finish of a route.
  • No, I’m not logged in on multiple devices I only use one android phone for zwift sessions.
  • I’m not making any manual turns or u-turns during the run, this is all left alone for the duration.

I’ve tried twice to do the Volcano Circuit. And I’ve tried to do the Two Bridges Loop once.

What the hell am I doing wrong??!

Thanks in advance

Ok, so I would link to the activities in question… but I’m not allowed to post links. Great.

You say you are running, but that is a Riding only route badge.

You can only get credit for Running Routes while running and only get credit for Riding Routes while riding.

This is also a Ride only badge.

Thanks for replying Paul. So correct me if I’m wrong but there are only 6 running routes on Watopia? (May Field, 5K Loop, That’s Amore, Chili Pepper, 11.1 Ocean Blvd and Jon’s route) With everything else being a cycling route?

I’m more concerned with having the route marked as complete in my route list rather than getting a badge, but it sounds like these are the same thing?

Correct, they will not get marked as complete until you ride them.

Thanks very much for your help, Paul.

I’ll be honest, I’m finding the whole zwift experience as a beginner pretty hostile. There seems to be so much knowledge and information that isn’t presented in the app. Hey-ho, at least the forums seem pretty active.

Thanks again!

there is certainly a learning curve, but before you know it you will figure it all out (and then they will roll out the new home screen)

Make sure you check out zwiftinsider.com for tons of info and tips. GP Lama on youtube is another good one to follow.
