This is the 2nd time this week for this problem. Using Zwift version 1.107 on an older iPad Pro with IOS 17.7. Ride performs fine till end. It will not electronically close or upload to cloud. First time I was able to access and transfer a FIT file. Today no luck. The ride does not even appear on my ride history. In the FIT file log it indicates the ride is still active. Yet I cannot locate the ride in Zwift to conclude or process. Please help.
Are you terminating the Zwift app after every activity? That’s the first thing I would try.
Thank -you for your quick reply Paul.
Yes, I did CLOSE the Zwift program. This is my standard practice for all operations on iMac, iPhone and iPad. I have not needed to FORCE close either iPhone or iPad but, I am experienced FORCE closing programs on iMac.
When this first occurred ~Wednesday this week, I thought perhaps I forgot to save & close that ride. Today I was very careful to do so however the Zwift program said ~ “cannot save”. I do not explicitly remember the details why.
When riding with Zwift, I am on a V2 Wahoo Kickr trainer with operational power, cadence and heart rate. I am on XFINITY WIFI where the WIFI router is in a staircase area on 2nd floor. Zwift works fine during the ride. Only close & save are problems.
Thanks!

OK two questions for you…
First, do you have the Zwift app installed on multiple devices like iPad and iMac? If so, you must be absolutely certain that the game is not left running on more than one device at a time. Your safest option while troubleshooting this is to pick one and delete the game from all others. On the iMac it would be unusual to accidentally leave it running, but on mobile devices that is a common source of problems. This only applies to the game app, not Companion.
Second, I want to know if you have a Kickr V2 (2016 trainer) or a Kickr Core V2 (2025 trainer). If it’s a Kickr Core V2, then you need to understand if it’s paired via Bluetooth or WiFi. The WiFi pairing option uses 2.4GHz WiFi that can interfere with Bluetooth or ANT+ adapters.
I have a 2016 vintage WAHOO v2 trainer connected by Bluetooth.
ok, I now deleted the Zwift app from my iPhone although I have not opened that in ~years. I do open the Zwift companion app on the iPhone. I had that open this morning. During rides, I operate the Zwift app by iPad. No other computers have Zwift or Companion app installed.
I rebooted my iPad. Now I cannot even open the Zwift app at all - due to “connection issues”.
quite painful!
ps: the iPad is on WI-FI, now sitting right next to the home WI-FI router.
Hey folks… I am not riding Zwift until this is resolved. Please advise with a solution. Thanks
Not sure if this will be a solution, just some things to try:
- Reboot the Wi-Fi router and test again
- Remove the Zwift app from the iPad, reinstall it, and test again
- Remove the Zwift app from the iPad, install it on the phone, and test again
