Issues connecting Zwift Ride handlebars to ipad

My Zwift ride bars will not connect to my ipad. it has connected to my iphone. Is that the problem that they cannot connect to multiple devices?

The main thing you need to avoid is leaving the app running on multiple devices. It’s safest to only have the game installed on one device, but if you need to keep it on two then you should save or trash the activity at the end, and then force-close the app so there’s no chance it’s still running.

Hi @Brian_Tracy1 welcome to Zwift forums.

Shuji at Zwift HQ here. As Paul suggsted, it’s best practice to have the main Zwift app installed only on one device. If you prefer the iPad to run the game - please uninstall it from the iPhone. That will eliminate the risk of simultaneous logins from two devices.

Q: has your iPad updated its iOS version recently? When Apple updates the OS, they reset the app’s Bluetooth permissions back the default “no” setting. This will cause your trainer and Ride handlebars from appearing in the Pairing Screen. The simplest way to reset this is to uninstall / reinstall Zwift on your iPad, then say “yes” when the prompt to allow Bluetooth / Local Network Devices pops up.

Would you try those two things and let us know that things work correctly again?
