Removing Follower

When I first started using Zwift my settings were default that anyone could follow me. I quickly learned and turned this off after 3 randos started following me. All three of these people have their settings configured to require approving my follow request if I ask to follow them back. So I can’t add them without their approval.

Is the only way to remove a follower really to follow them back first?

So there is no way for me to remove these people if they never approve my request?

If you click on the followers profile there are three dots in upper right hand corner, even if they are private. Click on these and a window should pop up to remove follower
