Random 5XPs on top of 0.25km = 10XPs

Does anyone else get what seems like random 5XPs at 0.12 or 0.92 km markers on top of the 10XP per 0.25km markers? (these XPs doubled during Tour of Watopia runs) The odd thing is that I get them sometimes, not on every run. I haven’t figured out the pattern or reasoning it seems and I’ve googled it and tried to search this forum to no avail unless I missed it.

I am not complaining as extra XP is awesome. At first I thought maybe it was giving me XP for both imperial and metric markers but the 5XPs don’t occur in the imperial multipliers when set at metric eg. 1.6km to 1mile.

You also get XP for the X meter climb as you ride or run up a climb.
I don’t remember how many meters to climb to get 5 xp.

I was paying attention to those 5 exstra XP. I thin that you gain those 5XP for every 100 calories you burn.

That is incorrect, you get the additional 5XP for every 100 calories burned.

Sorry. Someone had told me at one point that you got extra XP for every 10 meters you climbed. I can see that is not true.

How Do I Get XP (Points)?

Most of your XP will be received based on distance ridden or workout blocks completed.

Points are added for every km (20 XP) or mile (30 XP) you ride unless you are in workout mode where points are based on interval type, length, and completion accuracy. (See How Zwift Calculates XP for Cycling Workouts for details.)

Sorry, Imperials: you will accumulate XP 7.3% faster if you ride in metric units. (100km=2,000 XP, while the equivalent mileage, 62.13=1864 XP.)

You also get additional XP for the Large or Small Bonus power ups, 10 points when you ride through a banner on a TT bike, and points for some achievements including route achievement badges and the spinner atop Alpe du Zwift.

Okay but we’re talking about running and the extra 5xp. And as has been said it’s from every 100
calories burned.
