Ran The Classic Run but not showing as completed

Hi all,
This morning I completed The Classic Run on Tour of Watopia, but it’s not showing as completed either in my badges or under routes, I crossed the line at the end and got the confetti, notification on screen that I’d completed and got the running kit etc but not sure why it’s not showing in routes or badges as complete?

Did you run the 5k or the 10k Tour of Watopia run?
The route badge is 8.8k with the lead in, I think.

Hi Clare,

The biggest cause of what you’ve experienced can be if you’re logged into 2 devices at the same time.

Is that possible?

Also what version of Zwift are you running?

Hi @Clare_Gould welcome to Zwift forums.

Shuji at Zwift HQ here. I looked at your recent server logs and see you completed this Stage 5 run event. That’s the one you’re asking about, yes?

What Stuart said is true. The most common cause of this is if you log into Zwift on more than one device at a time, but that doesn’t appear to be the case for you.

What is equally problematic is if you log in from your iPhone without a proper log-out. This means the expected save-and-exit action (or trash-and-exit) at the end isn’t happening. so the server doesn’t know that you affirnatively ended your session. Please always trash-and-exit if you’re not actually saving a run.

Additionally, it’s a good idea to force-close the Zwift app, rather than just swiping it into the background. Here’s how. This clears out any temp file clutter that would otherwise build up as the app continues running in the background.

If you do those two things - it will help ensure the app behaves as expected and you get credited correctly for distance / elevation / route badges / campaign credits etc.

I think what has happened here is that the Tour of Watopia run starts at the downtown Watopia pens, as they would do for The Classic ride route.

This ToW run is possibly advertised as The Classic Run at 3.1 miles.

Unfortunately the first 2.5 miles of the ToW run is actually the lead in of The Classic ride route and has nothing to do with The Classic Run badge.

The Classic Run route starts just before Jarvis Island:

And to get the badge I imagine you now have to run 3.0 miles from this route start point.

Using the ToW run option you need to run 5.5 miles to get the 3 mile route badge.

The OP only ran 4 miles in total. I believe the confetti and route complete message was confirming the end of the 3.1mile ToW short run option.

Good callout @Ian_Attoe.
That might happen if the OP chose the 5km event and not the 10km event. I’ll let my folks on this end know.

That’s what I said in the first reply also.
