Power readings with Elite trainer

I’ve found a lot of old threads dealing with wildly fluctuating power using Elite Drivo trainers. I’ve tried Bluetooth and all ANT+ options,.including a new dongle with extended cable.

Game has been reinstalled and updated. Firmware up to date.

Since this seems to have been a problem since 2017 I am not optimistic. Does anyone. Have any suggestions before I cancel membership?

Not previously had these problems 2022-2023. Same windows 11 laptop that is not particularly stretched to run Swift (SSD 1tb, 513.gb ram Ryzen 7)

It is not a smoothing problem. All that does is smudge over the power drop out. Seems to go low or to zero with gradient change. Means I can’t take part in any events because I drop off the back within seconds of a climb because of single digits watts.

Does the trainer work properly when you test it in the My E-Training app from Elite? The usual process is to do any firmware updates, calibrate the trainer, test it in the Elite app, and if it’s still faulty contact Elite support.

The trick with Elite Direto trainers used to be go into Elite app and do “+” steps and then “-” steps through the full range, to free up the resistance screw again.

If that’s the issue (which I don’t know) this might help as well, but I would talk to Elite about fixing it

Yes, works fine in the Elite app.

Not the same issue. This is a dara transfer issue.

Am trying a different cadence sensor and have turned off Norton.

Doesn’t seem to make any difference. Only the cadence is now more stable.

That would be a calibration issue I would have thought. Didn’t make any difference anyway.

There are some responses here about Direto trainers, but the OP has a Drivo.

I would contact Elite support and let them troubleshoot it with you.
