I signed up a week ago for an event on the Classique Reverse course. Just before the event tonight then I notice that the course has been changed to Tempus Fugit.
While I dislike that such changes are made to events after the fact, I dislike more that there are no notifications. No email (which Zwift can send since even if the event organizers don’t have my email then Zwift does), no notification in the Companion app, nothing.
It should be impossible for event organizers to make fundamental changes; such as course swaps, category changes, duration/distance changes; without notifications.
Hi @, welcome to the Forums! I’m Francisco from Zwift Support.
I totally get how frustrating it is to sign up for an event expecting one route, only to find out it’s been swapped at the last minute without any notification—definitely not ideal.
In situations like this, the best approach is to check with the event organizer to confirm:
If they intentionally changed the course—sometimes last-minute adjustments come in late, either right before the event starts or even while it’s ongoing. To discard, if it was a bug or a system update that caused the event details to change unexpectedly.
In the meantime, you can always check the event link in Companion or on the Zwift website and refresh the page to see if any changes have been made, like the chosen route before the event begins.
Hopefully, this was just a one-off situation, but I totally understand your point.
Narrator: It was not.
This has now happened on all the events on Classique Reverse that I have signed up for in the past week; at the time of the event it’s suddenly a different course.
I’ve planned my last few weeks around Zwift Games, Zwift Big Spin, and then some personal route badge hunts. Classique Reverse was the last one of the event-only reverse courses that have route badges that I had yet to collect so my plans have repeatedly been up in the air.
