Hi there. I am using an apple laptop and i have a zwift hub wih I have used for the last three years. Since a couple of months, everytime I launch a session, my rider starts riding then stops almost instantly. Connections are OK but I can see my hub disconnect because its blue light starts blinking in purple, red and blue… So i can’t ride anymore… Wift support sent me a new hub but it does the exact same thing with the new hub I received. Has anyone any idea what could be the issue ?
Hi @Cho_Man, welcome to the Forums! I’m Francisco from Zwift Support.
That sounds super frustrating, especially since you’ve been using the Zwift Hub for years without issues.
The fact that the replacement trainer is doing the exact same thing makes me think it could be something outside of the trainer itself causing the problem.
A few things to check:
Bluetooth Interference –The flashing purple/red/blue lights suggest possible signal drops. Try turning off nearby Bluetooth devices (headphones, speakers, smartwatches, etc.) and see if that helps.
- Reset the Trainer – If you haven’t yet, try a full reset:
- Unplug the Zwift Hub for 30 seconds.
- Plug it back in and don’t pair it immediately.
- Wait to see if it stabilizes before launching Zwift.
Pairing Through Companion App – If connecting directly to your Mac isn’t working, try pairing via the Zwift Companion app on your phone instead.
Make sure your Zwift Hub is fully updated using the Zwift Companion app and that your Mac is running the latest macOS updates. I could see on your logs that you’re running OSX 12.0, which is macOS Monterey. If you update your OS, it is possible that BLE drivers can be updated. Let’s give it a try. That could be a clue!
Try a different power outlet or power adapter just in case.
Hi Francisco
Thanks a lot for your help. I am sorry I have been out of home for the past week so impossible to give it a try.
I went to every single step you have explained to me.
We are back to the same issue. The blue light is stable till i start riding.
I can pair my hub whether it is with mobile or bluetooth, i start to ride and then it stops again.
I have turned it off more than a minute, I have switched off all my devices, I use my Apple laptop with last updates, Companion is telling me I am up to date… but still same issue.
Any other advice ?
Thanks in advance.
