Garmin and zwift had been syncing fine until yesterday. Yesterday I did a 70.3 ironman and I was hoping for some XP from the ride. It got sent to TP and Strava, but Zwift remains empty? Is there a way to send it to Zwift manually?
Hi @_Anihalas_Team_Vegan, welcome to the Forums! I’m Francisco from Zwift Support.
That’s not what you want to see after a huge effort! You earned that ride—let’s dig in and figure it out.
We’ve got an ongoing discussion about Garmin sync issues here, where you’ll find some troubleshooting steps that might help.
A couple of things to try right away:
- Disconnect and reconnect your Garmin account—sometimes a fresh link can get things syncing again. Here’s how.
I’d recommend checking out the thread and sharing your experience there—it’s always helpful to see what’s worked for others and what the latest update is, to stay tuned.
Let us know how it goes. FYI: Tracking Outdoor Activities in Zwift FAQ.
Hi, I am back from the trip and trying out your links but there doesn’t seem to be any working link except for the connect/disconnect and reconnect garmin? I don’t see where I can upload the file either?
Could you check the links please?
same problem here. the links to the forum thread don’t work, the disconnect/reconnect tip didn’t solve it and the import fit file tip talks only about transfer from zwift to garmin, not the other way round.
if there is an option to import fit files in zwift i didn’t find it. please help!
There is no manual import feature to upload a fit file to Zwift. Sorry I don’t have any guesses about what’s broken but I can tell you that option doesn’t exist. Contact support and let them know what you have already done.
, thanks
FYI for Hammerhead users → I was able to download my fit file from hammerhead site and then import to my Garmin dashboard. The activity then showed in my ZC app. (after I did the disconnect/reconnect dance with ZC to Garmin) Looking forward to when Hammerhead activities are automagically synced rather than this manual kludge.
You don’t seem to have answered this query. The links you have posted do not work. There is no obvious way of uploading .FIT files to Zwift if the connecting system (Wahoo in my case) isn’t working. There is a bug in Wahoo where longer rides are not uploaded to the Wahoo app and are therefore not uploaded to Zwift. Please can you reply to this so that we can understand how to address this? Thanks
If your rides aren’t making it to the Wahoo app, that sounds like something to raise with Wahoo support. Zwift can’t import something that isn’t there.
I have raised this with Wahoo. My question was whether there are any other ways of importing FIT files to Zwift.
There is not.
Thanks. The post from the Zwift support person implies that there is. I presume this is incorrect which suggests that the Zwift support team don’t know what their platform can and can’t do which is a bit worrying. It seems odd that they didn’t include an option to take the information from Strava. I’m making little headway with Wahoo on this which is very frustrating.
I still have no solution. And 2 weeks ago it happened again. Finished challenge Roth with a 4:48 180k bike. Did not show up in Zwift. So status is now undertraining. It’s not my main platform but it should work better for triathletes anyway.
