Today, the automatic upload of my Training from Zwift to Garmin failed. Zwift successfully synced my training to Strava and intervals.icu but not on Garmin Connect. Yes, the Sync to Garmin is still active in my Zwift settings.
I downloaded the .fit file from Zwift and tried to manually upload it to Garmin Connect. That also failed; Garmin Connect could not handle the file and returned an error.
As a customer who has recently experienced a substantial price increase for the subscription, I am deeply disappointed that the product’s performance has deteriorated. I urge you to investigate and resolve this issue promptly.
Hey @RidingSchnitzel it’s so good to see you for the first time in the Forums! I’m Norman from Zwift.
We’re very committed to keeping Zwift in the best state possible. It’s interesting that the ride was uploaded to Strava without issues, could be that Garmin Connect was down for a few seconds, or maybe a network interference resulted in a slightly corrupted file. Same as our fellow Zwifters, I recommend that you try and manually upload the activity.
Another tip besides what everyone else has mentioned, is that you can download your Fit. files saved locally in your Desktop by going to Documents > Zwift > Activities. Try and give it a shot!
Downloading the .fit file from Strava and uploading it manually to Garmin Connect produced the same error.
The download of the GPX file from Strava and upload to Garmin Connect worked. However, the Power data were missing then.
Regrettably, I had to resort to using a 'repair fit file’Tool, which consumed a significant amount of my time, approximately 30 minutes. Considering the premium subscription fee of $20 a month that Zwift charges, I expect a more seamless experience, such as automatic retries for failed uploads to Garmin. This would save me from the hassle of having to manually transfer my training data to Garmin Connect.
