Membership - status pending

Hi
I just signed up, subscribed membershi, paid with CC visa…how long do I wait to wait until status changes to member and that I can start riding?
Thanks

You should be able to ride immediately after signing up. What sort of message are you getting, and where? (Can you post a photo?) It is possible that the ‘pending’ just means that you are still in the 7-day trial period, and that your credit card won’t be charged until the end of that time. Or are you actually logging into Zwift and your avatar just isn’t moving, which could mean something entirely different.

Hi

Thanks for your reply.

Maybe indeed. However I tried several times to ride.

On my iphone, zwift detects and connects to my cadence and rpm. I select the roller at the bottom if the list as I do not have a connected home trainer.

Then i click on let’s go and ride… despite spinning avatar is not moving. I am trying the NYC central park tour.

I cannot figure out what I am doing wrong…

I can’t say that I’ve ever used Zwift with anything other than a smart trainer, but I’m curious as to whether you also have something to detect your speed, and communicate that to Zwift, or if you have a power meter on your bike that is connected to Zwift. Without something to directly detect your power output (power meter) or estimate it (speed sensor) there is no way for Zwift to determine how fast your avatar should move.

Well I read that having a cadence meter (pedals) and a sensor for wheel rotation. Knowing the size and the number of rotation indicates the speed and distance.

I will check again tomorrow (it is midnight here ) :sunglasses:

Thanks for your help

From the Zwift website:

“Rollers are a great way to work on your bike handling skills. You can use any classic rollers to Zwift on a bike equipped with a supported power meter. For an immersive experience, try out smart rollers that have resistance control.”

It sounds like you might need a power meter to use rollers with Zwift. I think you can only use a speed sensor for estimated power (Z-power) with a ‘dumb trainer’.

I assume that when you stated that Zwift “connects to my cadence and RPM” you meant Cadence and Speed. Without speed you are not going to move in game.
