macOS problems with new update? [1.13.0] [May 19 2021] [SOLVED]

How long is a piece of string

spent several hours on this today… no fix… 2 different mac. computers… this post 10hrs old… any updates ??

Mac user here. I got this to work via the same method that got us round the recent “forbidden” error: 1 turn wifi off 2. Launch Zwift; you’ll see a message telling you you’re not online; 3 turn wifi on; 4. Press “yes” on the message mentioned in step 2; 5. You’ll need to type your password.

This is a work around that seems to bypass the installer

Same except, 5:15am wake up. Crushes the spirit when an hour is spent trying to to sort this mess.

Same here, crashes at Let’s Go screen. Macbook Air with Mojave.
Zwift is now useless. Any solutions?

I cleared the cache, reinstalled the Zwift app, but nothing helps. Can’t get into Zwift any longer. I am sad as it is raining cats and dogs outside and I needed a ride.

Another annoyed Mac owner here, reassured that I’m not the only one that can’t get the updated app to run.

I laughed through gritted teeth at the emails telling me about this new world we can’t ride :roll_eyes:

Same issue as the others. MacOS El Capitan 10.11.6

I happen to have a virtual windows machine (Parallels desktop) running on the same macbook air. So I installed now Zwift in this Windows emulation environment, and lo and behold, Zwift was running there…anyway, I hope they fix this Mac-specific bug soon.

At least I can race in the Giant’s Crit Crusher Series today…

Same here. Installed update, click ‘let’s go’ and nothing! Really frustrating. This seems to have been reported and noted on main Zwift operational page, but nothing has been done and it’s been 12 hours!

Hi Libby - do you have an estimate of when this will be fixed. A lot of dissatisfied Zwifters here in the UK.

Can’t believe compatibility wasn’t checked on all the platforms before introducing new or updated software. Especially macOS. If there is not a quick fix let us uninstall the update!

Map no longer connects on Zwift Companion + game totally crashed mid-group ride, ride totally lost (wouldn’t even accept the .fit file on doc folder). Someone forgot to do any testing pre-launch I assume?

Totally agree, im pretty new to zwift but yes compatibility checks should be sorted before entering public domain…i presume they need the update for the new world

Worked once last night after several reboot cycles.
No luck this AM

Update - sometimes this works, sometimes not. It turns out that if I get into the game and click Let’s Go within ~ 1min of reboot, it works.
If I am not rapid - it crashes and exits from ZwiftApp

Hi Libby,

Please can we have some better communication - other than a generic holding statement. All that happens in the absence of info from Zwift is that users keep trying boot the program creating unnecessary load on your systems whilst you are trying to fix.

Also, please have strong words with your devops and testing teams - this is v v amateur.
