macOS problems with new update? [1.13.0] [May 19 2021] [SOLVED]

Same problem here, MacOS High Sierra 10.13.1

It takes me a few failed attempts before I can get past “Let’s Go.” But after trying 3-5 times Zwift does finally start.

Broken for me.
Windows Version 10.0.19043 Build 19043
Zwift Launcher 1.0.52
Zwift App 1.0.70425

Symptom. “Let’s Go Button” just loops back to the same page.
Attempted resolution:

  • Reinstall
  • Delete Documents/Zwift
  • Full Delete & Reinstall per Support site guidance.

And another frustrated user. Followed the ridiculous steps 3x to no avail. Don’t have another app in my life that tortures its users like this one. Please get it together.

Pretty disappointing, I only have a small window of opportunity each day due to a 7 month old baby, and unable to jump on today. Have uninstalled and reinstalled as per instructions more than 6 times and still unable to get in. Is there an ETA on this?

After a 2nd fresh install I’ve been able to get into the game twice. Both times were IMMEDIATELY after a reboot of the computer. If I waited more than, say, 5 minutes after the computer booted up then the Launcher would crash. All I did in-game was fan-view, reset all my settings, and pair my devices, I didn’t actually pedal.

Co-incidence maybe but worth a try if anyone’s desperate for a ride.

Here is what worked for me:

  • Move old version of Zwift app to Trash
  • Install new version from Zwift app website
  • Reboot
  • From user folder, rename Documents/Zwift to Zwift.old

Now it runs for me (2019 MacBook Air on latest Mojave),

Same issue as others. The app closes after launching. I did a complete re-install as per instructions and the issue persisted. There was also no crash report to be found.

same as all the above :frowning:

i originally got stuck on the ‘unable to launch zwift app’ message, but after reinstall, now it just crashes straight up

MacBook Air with Sierra OS - not the newest but meets the min. requirements easy

pretty disappointing that zwift put out (forced out) an update with such a catastrophic bug

This really is unacceptable. I’ve just spent an hour trying to solve this issue. Work around a can’t be a solution for a paid service

me to this bug probably comes from the fact that many people are downloading at the same time

This is a joke, somthing we pay for but can’t use. If this was amazon prime we would get a free month subscription, same with Netflix and so on… what will zwift do for us…

Any news on a fix? crashes from the “Lets Go” screen!!! Every update I seem to have an issue mostly minor bugs that have seemed to resolve themselves, but it is very annoying for a paid service!!!

Got it to work. Had same problem with MacBookPro. Would click let’s go and it would crash immediately. Uninstalled old version completely. Emptied trash etc. Downloaded and reinstalled new version from Zwift web site. Clicked let’s go and it would immediately crash. Restarted the app and clicked let’s go 6 or 7 times, it finally loaded and all is well…for now…hope this helps someone…
