Hi everybody - I’ve been riding a standard Zwift Ride and Kickr Core setup for about 100km and I’m a bit disappointed so far… From the start, there’s been a very loud rhythmic rumbling noise and a gritty, sandy feeling on the pedals - I kind of “feel the noise” for lack of better words, especially when pushing downwards. I recorded it but I’m obviously not allowed to share links therefor sorry for the space but it’s hard to describe without listening to the noise ht tps://youtu.be/4BbtiNhXP0M?si=wTxltGZpX_DEaMdU
Isn’t that pretty loud?
… it gets louder with higher resistance. Additionally, the chain seems very loose. And the pictures online show the Cog V2, but I received the black V1 …
But by far most annoying is the rumbling noise and the gritty feeling. Does anyone have any idea? It’s really spoiling my enjoyment of what’s otherwise a great tool.
Has anyone else experienced similar problems with this setup?
Could the loose chain be causing the gritty feeling?
Should I try contacting Zwift or Wahoo support?
Are there any adjustments I can make to reduce the noise and improve the feeling?
I double checked the adapters, both sides fine - and tried to catch the sound again. I do only hear it with headphones though. Wroom wroom wroom … and it feels ecactly like that in the pedals ht tps://youtu.be/3C5A_omi9CQ?si=ouKpZFuBwmar24fl
Hi Robyn, yes I contacted support@ and got quickly and easily replacement of the Ride. Noise got better but rumbking not fully away. Will replace Cog V1 as well - should receive it today and report … of thesis bit working as well I’ll proceed with a closer look into the Kickr …
Hi Steffen, I have just purchased a Zwift frame and seem to be having the same issue, did you ever get to the bottom of it? I noticed you mentioned it hadnt fully gone and you were going to check your kickr? not sure whether its my kickr as I had my road bike attached previously and that maybe something to do with it, thanks
Welcome to the forums! Thank you for sharing your question. This is Alejandra from Zwift.
I wanted to follow up on the issue you were facing, and I see that you’ve already received help since you opened a ticket. I hope the replacement resolves the matter. If the issue continues after you receive the replacement, please don’t hesitate to respond to the email.
