I completed the London Pretzel this morning. I kept cycling thinking the finish line was a little further. After 64km I figured there must be a glitch.
Anyone else experience this?
It looks like you may have approached the hill from the same direction both times which would indicate that you made an unexpected turn or u-turn, if true. If you saw the mini-map with the expected countdown to the finish throughout the ride and got to 0km to go, you can contact support to ask for the badge.
Some random reasons for unexpected course deviation are sweat on the Companion app causing selection of a turn, steering devices such as the Elite Sterzo and steering into a turn (if this is relevant, toggle the Intersection Controls setting), accidentally hitting navigation buttons on Zwift Play/Ride controls, or faulty Play/Ride controls.
I don’t know what I did, but I saw the route map on the upper right glitch and stop showing where I was. Probably did something when I was giving a “ride on”. So . . , sorry guys no more “ride on”s when I’m working on a route badge. Lol
As Paul mentioned something caused a turn; you ended up turning off-route when going over the bridge near Big Ben after climbing Fox / descending Box.
You’re supposed to turn right towards the Mall, do the classique loop and go up Box, and finishing at start point, but you turned left on the Greater Loop, then headed back towards the start pens, and did Fox again.
Definitely frustrating, I’ve done the same using the drone camera on longer badge rides near the end lol
