Hello. Today, my level in the game changed from 37 to 25. All bicycle upgrades have disappeared. This is happening both on my laptop and on my iPhone. What happened and how can I fix it? The updates on the laptop are downloading with version number 1.1.13.
That’s caused by having the game running on two devices at the same time. If you run it on the phone but don’t force quit the app, then run it on the laptop, for example. It’s safest to pick one device and remove the game from the other one.
Just a small note that version 1.1.13 is the version of the Zwift launcher program, not of the game itself. 1.1.13 is the latest launcher version.
The game version is at the bottom-right of the login screen. Or you can right-click on the Zwift icon in the system tray at the bottom-right of your monitor.
I assumed that would miss 1 to 2 rides from a bad cloud sync, as opposed to the jump in levels and upgrades.
Unless there is one account just constantly riding/dropping without logging off.
AFAIK there is no limit to how much you can lose if some really old state gets saved by a long-running instance of the app. I’ve heard from plenty of people who have lost multiple levels that way. To my way of thinking this is a serious design flaw, and it’s been known for years but remains unfixed for whatever reason. It’s especially bad for new users, and I suspect many more people experience it without ever noticing it.
I don’t use it on my phone, but I switch from ATV to PC to MacBook a fair bit and always get a warning if one isn’t fully logged out.
So maybe just force log out if people try?
Hi @Konstantin_S1.
This is Haziel from Zwift, and I completely understand your concerns about your achievements. The error you’re sharing on the screenshots, Z117, usually indicates that Zwift is having difficulty writing files to your computer’s Documents folder. This is often caused by permission issues, conflicts with OneDrive, or sometimes, antivirus software interfering.
It’s important to know that if the game can’t save your ride data due to this error, it may mean that your progress from a session might not be recorded, which can indirectly affect your level. While the error itself doesn’t lower your level, it can prevent Zwift from saving your achievements if it disrupts your gameplay or file saving.
I recommend checking out this article on Error Code: z117, as it provides troubleshooting steps that could help resolve this issue.
