Kickr core - No tension, cadence and gear change detection

I’ve had a break from riding, but when I picked up riding a week ago, I experienced some issues with the Kickr Core. It fell out. Meaning suddently there was no tension/watts, no cadence detection and nothing happens when changing gears.

I somehow made it work again, after reloading the app, unplugging/plugging in the Kickr Core etc.

Two days ago I turned everything on again getting ready for a ride.

Everything connects correctly as always via Bluetooth. I choose a Route, but now the problem with no tension/watts, no cadence detection and nothing happens when changing gears is right from the start.

Meaning, something is very wrong and it’s impossible to initiate the ride. Even though the Bluetooth connections is up and running, nothing happens when I start peddeling.

I’ve checked at the Cycling support and Forum on you’re homepage, but no suggestions on how to resolve my problem comes up.

Can anybody help me out?

Solutions would depend on whatever you are running the game on, as well as ensuring that nothing else is connected to the trainer such as Zwift or any other app that controls the trainer.

Testing in the Wahoo app is a good way to check if the trainer is faulty, because any issue that shows up there would be something you could take up with Wahoo support. But if you have Zwift running on two devices or really any apps that might be trying to control the trainer while you are using it in Zwift could cause the same type of problem.

Hi Paul.

Thanks for your reply and suggested solution.

Zwift support has also suggested a test of the Kickr using the Wahoo app. Hopefully that can solve the problem.

In terms of a connection mess up, that is not the problem. Everything is connected as it’s always been prior to the issue/problem I’m suddenly experiencing.

Take care. Br. Niels.
