My Wifi Issues looks like a Wahoo problem.
I took this 2 images today after another problem with WIFI drop. Kickr didn’t found any network and my phone was always connected and had 4 more Wifi networks in range.

Mine did that when I first bought it, and it was because th3 wahoo app was outdated. I didn’t read through all the posts but have you reinstalled the wahoo app, updated, then conn3ct to the trainer?
Wahoo is sending me a replacement CORE 2. they made no attempts to troubleshoot my issues, so it must be a thing.
But the replacement is a refurbished one, isn´t it? That´s what they offered me.
Honestly I am fine with a refurb as long as it works as expected. If you’re still within your return window you can also go that route, if refurb rubs you the wrong way.
I bought the Ride/Core 2 Bundle. I really like the Ride and I´m out of the return window anyway. They offered me the replacement with a refurbished Trainer, too. Maybe someone can report back, if the replacement helped. I don´t have Wifi connection or Power Problems anyway, just these weird vibrations through pedals and handlebars.
How is your Wifi setup…i keep getting disconnected from WiFi.
Bluetooth works perfect even Race mode works but the app says it’s only working over Wifi. ![]()
I had 2 Wifi Drop Outs, both times when I had the Kickr Bridge turned on and the Trackr connected to the Kickr. Maybe just a coincidence.
I never used Bridge option and had WIFI Disconnected every ride i tested…it worked for 1h and it dropped. I switched to BLE and not a single disconnect.
I reconfigured my Wifi settings to only use 2.4ghz and 20Mhz but i still had a disconnection from Network.
As I said, so far I’ve had that happen twice and blamed it on the Bridge connection.
The current status is that I am experiencing these known ‘vibrations’ in the pedals all the way up to the handlebars. And the Factory Spindown fails every time. I have now asked Wahoo Support if I can get a Kickr V6 for an extra charge instead of a refurbished replacement. I am curious to see what they say. All in all, I imagined this Ride / Core 2 bundle would be simpler
I had this issue when i tested the new JetBlack Victory last year…luckily it’s not present on my Core 2. I think it’s something to do with how the belt is placed on the flywheel.
Same here…but at the moment all my Dual Power Recordings show that the Core 2 is very accureate with Power and Autocalibration works.
Still not sure how people are doing the factory spin down on the Core 2 without the help of tech support. It’s not like the Core 1 or previous kickr’s with manual callibration or where you can press the icon 10 times.
It starts the same way by pressing the icon 10 times, but it always fails after completing the warm-up phase.
Meanwhile Wahoo confirmed that they will send me a brandnew Core 2 as replacement, not a refurbished one. And they forwarded the calibration problem, too. Great support.
Despite I´m still considering to sell the new Core and exchange it to the new Van Rysel RCR trainer. Not sure yet.
My Core 2 started making noises yesterday after a race. Going to do some more investigating today hoping its nothing that warrants a return.
Are we sure that there really is a problem with the Kickr Core V2 and its firmware?
The problem with “high resistance” reminds me of this issue:
To be CLEAR.
I have no issues with CORE 2 and how accurate the power is.
I’ve done multiple Dual recordings and compared it to my Assioma Duo and i’m impressed.
The only issue is that the WIFI won’t stay connected…and i can’t figure out if it’s something with my Router or is it the Core 2 Unit/Firmware.
I had a couple of Wifi Dropdowns meanwhile. The Core 2 doesn´t lose the connection to the Wifi, it all of a sudden gets unpaired from Zwift. I can re-choose it right away in the pairing menu.
I wonder if that’s in any way related to this issue:
Troubleshooting may be difficult until that’s sorted out
Hi Michael,
i thought the same that the Core 2 is still connected to the Wifi Network because it was showing in Zwift Pairing Screen but always with 0W and 0rpm…after the 3rd disconnect i opened the wahoo phone app and checked the network connection and i could see that it had no network. And it didn’t see any of the nearby networks.
I posted pictures from the Wahoo App and my mobile phone Wifi Networks available nearby in this post Kickr Core 2 Issues - #21 by DejanPresen
Hi Dejan,
my experience was different. I got 0W and 0rpm all of a sudden while riding, went straight away to the pairing menu, re-selected and everything was instantly back.
