Kick V5 - direct connect - power / rpm dropout

Hi,

I’m using a Kick V5 (Firmware 4.30) - with direct connect. Lately I have issue with the connection between the trainer and Zwift dropping out.

While the trainer is still sending Data perfectly on ANT+ (I use direct connect to connect with Zwift and ANT+/BLE to connect to my Garmin for recording)

deleting the preference files did not solve this issue.

Switching in a race to ANT+/BL works, but until a couple of weeks direct connect worked flawlessly. Nothing was changed in the LAN network or on the PC.

Any thoughts?

Flaky Wahoo Direct Connect issues are usually solved by rebooting the router. Have you tried that?

While you’re at it, reboot the Zwifting device (i.e. computer/ tablet) and also the trainer so all those are reassigned dynamic IP addresses.

thank you for pointing this oiut. This helped for 1-2 rides (or it was just luck)

But the issue reappeared.
