A little from column A…
Why invest when you can divest?

Great post Ian - although not a member as long as you - I have exactly the same sentiment.
I’ll be doing the NY tour - only as it keeps me interested, but yeah the rowing getting pulled - that hurt a lot - so much so, I actually sent a direct DM to Eric on twitter saying the same thing as you - asking cyclists if they want rowing - not a smart move - thought they were wanting more customers… There are 10s of 1000s of concept2s out there.
Just listened to the latest zwiftcast - and thats the numb, there is nothing out there better than zwift so they have us (old timers) just where they want, paying begrudgingly for a product that’s broken in places but not broken enough to leave.
Zwift only displays the nearest 100 riders, so no matter how many jerseys there are to choose from, there are never more than 100 on-screen at a time.
There is no way this is true. Firstly, new jerseys drop every update. Secondly, it just doesn’t make any sense technically.
Yeah, but they still have to be retrieved from somewhere, and since the set of nearby riders is dynamic, it won’t be the same 100 for very long. Considering that new jerseys are frequently mentioned in release notes for updates, I presume that they are stored locally with each client.
Local storage of the textures should not be an issue. Maybe some of the lower end graphics devices could run into limitations on the number of textures that can be displayed. But local storage is plentiful, even on phones.
I just checked on MacOS, and the entire contents of ~/Library/Application Support/Zwift/assets/Humans/Jerseys is just 33M. That’s nothing.
