I have the saris trainer and it always says it is fully connected/ready to go with Zwift. I use Zwift on either my phone or Mac laptop but always make sure bluetooth is only being used on one device for the ride. however, once im in the route, the trainer stops making noise, avatar doesn’t move, and all speed/power is at zero. every once in awhile, it works/the avatar moves for a minute but then stops again. very frustrating. I’ve tried redownloading, updating, unplugging, all the things. plz help.
The first thing you need to do is prove that the trainer still works. Shut down the Zwift app on both the Mac and the phone. Make sure you force-quit the app on the phone. Then run the Saris app, install any available firmware updates, do a spindown calibration of the trainer using the Saris app, then do a ride in the Saris app and see if the trainer works. If any of that fails, you need to contact Saris support. If it works then you can start looking into other possibilities.
Welcome to the forums! I’m Haziel from Zwift, and I appreciate you sharing your concerns about the connectivity issue you’re experiencing. I completely understand how this affects you.
To help get things back on track, I recommend checking that your trainer is updated and calibrated according to the manufacturer’s instructions. It might also be beneficial, as Paul suggested, to do a test ride using your trainer’s manufacturer app. This can help pinpoint the issue.
Once you’ve confirmed that your trainer works fine with the manufacturer app, please ensure you’re pairing your speed sensor on the pairing screen and select your trainer from the next menu.
Additionally, consider using the Zwift Companion App as a Bridge for a more stable connection; just make sure it’s updated as well.
Please try these steps, and if you have any further questions or need more support, don’t hesitate to contact us.
