trying to launch on my iPad Air. Shows blue splash screen then crashes every time.

David, how long does the blue screen stay up until it crashes? Does it happen to be around 22 seconds? If so, I think we may have a fix for the issue you are seeing and it’ll be in our next app update (hopefully soon this week).

Also note that for a lot of apps you need some free memory on your device for the app to run correctly - if your device is very full, it will cause larger programs to crash. I don’t know if that’s the issue here or not, but a good first troubleshooting step.
App update is in the app store now that may resolve the issue some had with running on an Air 1.
