Interfacing directly with Treadmill?

Hey, I have been kicking around the idea of interfacing my Proform Treadmill with Zwift for a while and was wondering if anyone has tried directly interfacing their hardware with Zwift?

Basically, I want to connect the reed switch speed sensor on my treadmill with Zwift. Does anyone here have a clue as to what kind of signal Zwift is looking for?

You should be able to find a few examples on GitHub.

It is a standard Bluetooth treadmill profile or if you want to go ant+ look for the treadmill ant+ profile.
