We are several zwifters using the same Apple TV and the same Apple useraccount. When zwifting we can all log in to our personal Zwift accounts, but there is no way logging out. For sure you can log in to a new account, and also change account, but you can not log out. This is a problem because every Zwifter wants to log out so that no one else are able to use their user for zwifting. There should be a “log out”og “sign out” button, not only a “change user” button. The only way seems to be uninstalling and reinstalling the app after use. This is really not a good solution, is it? Just ending the app, will not log users off.
Please implement a “log out” or “sign out” button please.
The only other option available at the moment is to remove the user from the login screen. On iOS that means swiping left on the user name.
But you then have to re-add each user the next time you want to Zwift. Which is only twice as annoying as having to log in each time (you will need to re-enter the user name and password instead of just the password each time).
But I think that is your only current option as force quitting the app is not the solution.
Tried swiping left now, but doesn’t seem to work for Apple TV. Swiping with the remote just takes me left/down to the “change user” button. Maybe this works different by using finger at IPads etc?
After a bit of googling it seems Apple TV is a pain in the butt with removing users.
The solution discussed in the above post mentions removing all emails from Apple’s Settings->General but as you all use the same Apple account this may not work. You may have to look into setting up separate Apple accounts for each user but it’s possible that won’t work either as Apple profiles seem to be designed to work with Apple apps and Game Center services so they may not work with Zwift.
It seems there isn’t a reasonable solution to your problem and Zwift should think about adding a remove/log out user function for Apple TV (particularly as it is available to users of other operating systems).
