I7-11800H, RTX3060, 55" 4K with 4K resolution at 120Hz with VRR enabled. Video screenshots have been enabled for as long as this feature was introduced, and there has never been an issue with it. Always buttersmooth graphics, but I do recall that video screenshots do lower in-game FPS a bit.
Appreciate it.
It blows my mind ZHQ fails to inform folks of such basic yet massive functionality changes.
Itâs especially annoying however to put it in the action bar; something that serves computer users with virtually zero use of, short of the teleport feature.
Yeah there should be no issue with video screenshots on a rig that nice, but Iâd try it without just to see if the FPS drops improve.
As of this update the altitude markers on the road on the Portal Climb (whichever one was active on 29 Sept) are no longer aligned properly. They seem to be partially embedded into the road so that you canât see all of the first number, and only half of the âmâ appears.
As an example at 125 m you would see â>.25 nâ
Iâd have taken a screenshot but my arms were busy with the pedals.
Just spent an hour in Makuri. Frame rate was running between 35-40 fps throughout the ride. I normally get a constant 60. No crashes or anything but it was noticeably flickering.
Mac mini M1, 2020 running latest OS version.
On a completely separate note: Why, when Iâm already signed in to the Companion App, do I then have to sign in again to post to a forum?
Do you have video screenshots enabled in settings? If so, turn it off and youâll probably get a bump in frame rates.
I havenât used Zwift much recently because the weather was nicer, so today is the first time I tried Climb Portal.
Seems to me though like thereâs a pretty big oversight: to not list Climb Portal in the âSelect a Routeâ screen after choosing a workout?
This may have been caused by Windowâs Controlled Folder Access setting - if enabled, it can prevent applications from interacting with your Documents folder which Zwift requires to operate properly. Hereâs how to change Windowâs Controlled Access Settings.
Here are some other steps to follow to try to mitigate this issue in the future.
My ride leader for Ascenders Team (AsC 3.0) reported loss of fence today.
Although we do not use the fence regularly, it does come in handy for touchy situations.
zwift changed the fence HUD to be off at the start, you have to click the icon in the bar or the companion to bring it up (no idea why they changed it).
this might not be related to this update and may have been flagged before but i only noticed today but the workout icon in the nearby riders list seemed to be missing on my ride today
seeing if someone is doing a workout or not isnât exactly the biggest issue in the world but thought iâd mention it
Thatâs been the case since the previous ToW.
Itâs not just in Watopia, as noted in the linked thread.
I donât see the bar graph icons for riders doing a workout in Makuri, either.
Yeah itâs been like that globally for a long time. Not new with the latest release.
Maybe Zwift got rid if it in order to show the steering icon?
Happen to AsC ride on watopia triple flats yesterday. As precaution for another ride I edited to switch fence off saved and the revert to fence. I can control as in the past however the fence remove feature did not work.
I have done a little more digging and it seems like if youâre doing a workout the icon is there for other riders but if you arenât it isnât displayed for anyone
Same for our Team ZTO recovery ride today. No fence option at all. Lucky we have a very respectful and organised crew that hang with the beacons but it will need to be fixed for other less controlled rides
This seems to be the solution. Iâm just curious why no one from ZHQ has publicized this important information, added it to the release notes or even chimed in here to confirm. @shooj ?
I was on a group ride last night where the leader wasnât aware of the change, and therefore thought they had no fence controls. Thanks to Nateâs post above, I was able to share the tip, and all was in order shortly after.
Itâs there, just you have to go into the blue action ribbon bar and select it, itâs not in the usual place.
Once selected it stays on screen.
