Game Update v 1.122 [September 2026]

Hello Zwifters,

Phased rollout of game version 1.122 has begun to macOS / Windows / Android devices.
Phased rollout to iOS / tvOS devices begins tomorrow.

All Platforms
Removed level restrictions from routes and route intersections, making all routes available to Zwifters at any level.
Zwift now automatically connects to your fitness devices in the background at launch! After opening Zwift, you will now skip the Pairing screen and be taken directly to the Home screen while your devices connect.
step1

You can open the Pairing screen from the Home screen to change or add devices.

Pairing Options are now available on the Pairing screen, allowing Zwifters to enable or disable the new Background Pairing feature, along with using Zwift Companion as a Bluetooth bridge. For a more in-depth look at the new pairing flow, check out this post here.

The following features are starting to roll out gradually starting in Zwift game update 1.122.0:

  • The new theatre card puts Challenges front and center on the Home screen.
  • Personalized Recommendations are now only visible in the ‘For You’ row.
  • New Progress Widget on the Homescreen makes levels, achievement counts, and route completion more visible, giving Zwifters something to chase every time they log in.
  • The ‘For You’ row now uses ribbons to show when planned activities are due, e.g. today, tomorrow, and day-of-week labels.
  • Estimated duration now shown on route cards when selecting a workout from the Home screen.

Fixed a crash that could occur with JetBlack Victory trainers connected via USB when used as a Bluetooth bridge for other fitness devices like heart rate monitors or Zwift controllers.

macOS and Windows
Zwift launcher version 1.1.18 is now the minimum-required version and will be installed automatically.

Windows
Improved Bluetooth connection reliability.

iOS and tvOS
Reduced the amount of time it takes to open Zwift on some devices.
Improved text clarity on larger / lower DPI displays.

UPDATE September 23
Phased rollout continues to Windows / macOS / Android.
Phased rollout to iOS/tvOS begins today.

UPDATE September 24

I’m really disappointed that the detailed personalized recommendations have gone away. I enjoyed going into that to be able to look at the suggested route or workout and set it to longer or shorter options. I found it incredibly helpful and hate to see it gone.

Have they gone away?

I haven’t checked the details, but is what you’re looking for still there when you select one of the tiles in the ‘For You’ row?

Yeah, I tried to figure that out myself. As best as I can tell, it only shows a handful of potential items without the ability to get choosier about length or whether you want a workout or a route. At the time that I posted earlier the first “For You” item was the same as the “Next Up” suggested workout in Companion, a 66 minute long Over/Under activity. The other two workouts in the “For You” section were 30 minutes. Nothing longer than 66, nothing in the 45 to 50 range, which I would have expected to see if the old Next Up system was in place and I selected a shorter or longer ride.

The “Next Up” in companion only shows a single option with no ability to dial it in as you might want. Looking at the companion right now, it’s showing me the Ocean Lava Cliffside Loop route and if I tap on it, it just gives me more details about the route. The only thing I can do to change is toggle it to “outdoor.”

So I guess personalized recommendations do still exist with “For You,” they’re just not as useful or interesting to me as the “Next Up” feature was.

Distance to end of route is still not working properly when teleporting to a pace partner

Hi everyone. Please update at your earliest convenience.

I really LOVED the ‘Next up’ feature. Devastated its gone. The ‘For You’ doesn’t offer different length routes. PLEASE BRING IT BACK!

resistance mode (at least over BT don’t know about ant+) is broken, the buttons to change resistance frequently disappear and repear and when increasing resistannce the resistance doesn’t change

threshold block workout arches are blue instead of yellow

I didn’t experience a single one of these issues after updating here last night and doing a workout…
And I did also change resistance at one point.

What device are you using?

Elite nero and I ended pairing in with my headunit, no issues setting resistance with my headunit

I do not like the new home screen the new information like Badges and routes is useless I have both maxed out so there’s only two pieces of useful information in that block and they did away with the what’s next box which was great

Got here today (captured from ride report screen, don’t think Home Screen screenshots are possible through Companion). Given that a circular level bar is approximately 20 pixels above the new Home Screen level bar the entire field is not useful to me. Yeah the denominator on routes will change in a month or so, then I’ll be back to 100% in a few weeks.

Yeah , you would think for folks who already are at 100% routes and achievements they would show something else like bike upgrade progress or current challenge progress etc. Seeing 43/43 all the time isn’t super actionable.

Maybe some options, like in the HUD: you have 4 lines, what information do you want to see? Select from the menu..

One of the big issues is that they’ll never please everyone. I, for example, found the ‘Next Up’ tile useless. I can’t say that the new tile (theatre card) is much better, but at least it gives me a heads-up as to something I might do.

I do feel, though, that if they shrunk the new theatre card down there could be room for 2 or 3 tiles that could satisfy most people.

I found it pointless and never once clicked on it. C’est la vie either way …

Totally. I have 2 years on Zwift and have done it all. Waste of space. That said, I’m not sure what I COULD see there that I care about… if I got paid by Eric Min maybe I’d put brain power to it…

Is the maz 43 or 44 achievements?
