For the last 12 months (srry, i’m late in reporting this) my game minimises after ~15 minutes. It runs on a windows 11 with ok specs (i7 13th gen, 3080 Ti, 64gb ram). It does so right after booting the pc and when the pc has been active for a while. I’ve logged all active proccesees but nothing outside Zwift is behaving abnormally. It realy seems to be zwift deciding to minimise. This is also not happening to any other window. Does anyone have a similar issue?
My fix now is to start the game, make breakfast and coffee, maximise the screen when i come back and start riding, but it’s still anoying.
Every time I have seen this issue, it has been some other application causing the problem. I’ve never seen a case where Zwift minimized itself from full screen mode.
Would you know what app that might be? I’m not running anything special, and no other windows get minimized. Also i can’t see anything abnormal in the proccesses that run when zwift minimises.
No I can’t say what it might be on your system. I would look for any background processes that are not built-in Windows features.
I have, but even on a newly rebooted windows with norhing on auto boot it happens. If anyone else is having this problem, I’d love to hear. Its only zwift that does this and from you lr reaction i gather other people have this issue aswell. Cant it be a zwift bug?
Is it possible that it’s a Zwift bug? Possible but extremely unlikely. I follow public reports of Zwift bugs every day all the time (yes this is weird I know) and you are the only one reporting this recently. There are thousands of people running the game on Windows. Every few months someone like you reports this type of problem and the solution is always unrelated to Zwift.
If there’s no third party software installed, then I would start by disabling all Windows features related to notifications, news, widgets, etc.
You could also try running Zwift in windowed mode and using Borderless Gaming to make it full screen.
