I tried to set up my new Zwift Ride on the Kickr Core and am frustrated that the bike is loose on the trainer. It’s as if a spacer is missing or something. When I installed the thru axel, it was tough to get it in. Then when the trainer and bike were set up, the bike wasn’t tight or on the trainer.
I messaged customer support and received a response fairly quickly asking for a video showing the problem then received a follow up question after sending it. But now it’s 10 days since I contacted customer service and I’ve heard nothing back since our last interaction.
I could take the gear to a bike store and maybe get then to solve it. But this is Zwift’s and Wahoo’s problem to fix. Can someone please get back to me? I spent a lot of hard-earned money on these products and am eager to get training
Can you share the video (or at least some photos) here? It sounds like you are missing an adapter or two.
Steve, here’s a link to the video: httpsx://share.icloud.com/photos/097jR4L7NCSZZ_EO0eJwqLFzA
I hope you can view it. The setup should not need any adapters. The Zwift Ride should attach effortlessly and with no adapters to the Core, according to the instructions.
Remove the x after the s in httpsx
You’re missing the spacers on the core. It’s detailed in the paper setup instructions included with the ride.

I received some adapter hardware (see photo), but the instructional video suggests I shouldn’t need them any adapters as the Zwift Ride is built to go on the Wahoo Core. However, it appears that it does need some sort of spacer that I have not received (the ones pictured don’t seem right).
Also, look at how chewed up the thru axel that came with the Zwift Ride looks.
Watch this video. I think the part you’re looking for starts at about 45 seconds.
Thank you, Nigel! Very helpful. I see that the spacers were not mentioned in the video for installing the Ride onto the trainer. Now though the thru axel won’t go into the frame. I was able to get it in without the ride being on the trainer, but it won’t thread/tighten when on the trainer. Any thoughts?
