Has anyone managed to get their deleted accounts back yet?
I opened a case saturday evening, the support have transmis it to âanother ligne of supportâ this morning. Sunday my kid used my account to practice.
not heared anything since friday :o(
same happened to my sonâs account⌠in December I sent the form updated as Zwift requested and they said my kidâs account was good until end of 2021 then Friday my son tried to login to zwift to find out his account was deletedâŚ
I think it was a huge mistake from Zwift and they deleted a lot of kids accounts that were not intended to. I just hope they can restore the level, points, badges, etc, we all know how kids feel about the game and losing their points, etc.
We are in exactly the same position my sons account has been deleted with no warning. We had no emails and we did the COPPA form in April last year and I have email acknowledging it. This is really poor and makes me wonder should we look for an alternative. I can accept things go wrong but the support is very slow we have waited 3 days and no response at all from Zwift
no have heard nothing since last week, i have offered my son to use my account for now and I will do some miles for him if he get his account back. he will be devastated if he loses his levels and points though
Zwift should delete these fake id idiots not innocent kids
I have just heard back from Zwift support and everything except level has been deleted, my son will be so upset after working so hard for meters climbed and garage purchases.
I am so angry as I also did not receive any emails warning me this was about to happen.
A lot of his totals are on Zwift power so I can not see why the database can not be updated to reflect the work done.
@Steph_Rorke4997 unfortunately Zwift doesnât want the headache to fix the numbers for each kid they deleted by mistake, since we are all using it for Free. I guess if we were paying (for the kids account) that would be another story, they would need to fix or refund for all years we paid zwift to accumulate such points, achievements, etc.
Iâve just had a reply saying although they wonât be able to reinstate his old account, they will be able to update his new one to the level he was. Unfortunately he wonât have his drops or XP etc but at least he can ride alp de zwift etc.
Had to tell v upset kids today that zwift deleted their data. Iâm certain that all guidance was followed correctly and that absolutely no notice was received. This is a really poor way to treat people. All those juvenile hours chasing the tron now wasted.
My kids loved zwift but now hate it. They want to try Rouzy and who can blame theâŚ
We are exactly thinking the same, disgusted with Zwift, been looking at Fulgaz as well
You sent one email to my children. One.
You sent zero emails to me, the registered guardian.
You made a note in the forum (who reads forums when things are going well?).
You gave no in game notification.
You gave no companion app notification.
You made no post in the official Zwift Facebook group.
You didnât put a note up in the messages on the Zwift loading screen.
You didnât send reminder or last chance emails to anyone.
You deleted, irreparably it would appear, my kidsâ accounts.
What part of this process is well done?
And how can you honestly say that you âtried for MONTHSâ to contact me?
I feel the same. I am thankful Zwift offers free accounts for kids, but I would rather pay for it than being treated like an idiot.
Our accounts got newly set up. But: no previous connection to zwiftpower, no drops, no climbing efforts. Just the previous levels (hurrayâŚ)
I am a paying member for years, my wife is also, and like me I assume all parents already zwifted and paid, before they reached out to register their kids as well. They did, because this platform is unique, and the kids would become paying members as well, spreading the word meanwhile.
As already written above by the others: I never got an email, my kids got 1 (one!) back in September which I found now. They even didnât read this email because they didnât know what it is. This is legal stuff, and they are 11 years old.
Honestly⌠The whole thing is about data protection and privacy⌠But Zwift expects us to read email accounts of their kids constantly? Seriously? Apparently they expected to register an adults email as childâs account, what a mess.
I donât get the point, why it got deleted, and not just suspended. This is really poor theater. We are all thinking about leaving the platform. Itâs even worse that it effects the kids. They are crying and itâs heartbreaking! What a cruel move of Zwift. There seems really nothing left but devastation - and a good training form, at least. :o(
I had set up a new account for my son and Zwift have set that to his previous level and gave him 1000,000 drops to make up for his lost bikes. His progress on challenges was lost but not a bad result considering⌠donât lose hope guys hag in there. If you havenât heard follow it up.
Zwift sent one email to the kids account, asking kid to confirm parent details. No notification to parent account.
To claim they have exhausted all efforts to get in touch, when they have not even mailed, is insulting. To claim that I should have seen it on the forum is lazy - I only made this forum account to find out what was going on when they deleted the kids account.
When oldest kid turns 16, itâs very unlikely she is still going to be using Zwift and paying, given they have just dumped her data.
We first contacted Zwift last friday and have still not heard back from them. Disgusted by this why canât they just put everyone back where they were (surely they have back up data) and go through the child protection stuff properly this time and email the parents. Suspending accounts rather than deleting them initially would be a better plan also. Makes you wonder who they employ at Zwift.
Dear Zwift,
Reading all above it really makes me sadâŚ
I did request a support request for more then 1 week ago and I have nothing received back from a human-being, I only received automated âstandardâ messages.
In our country no bike-cycling competition is allowed, so there are child competitions being organised online. As my son (10yr) is addicted to race-biking so he is super sad.
Zwift, please clarify: You as a company benefit as one of the few from this pandemic! Your subscriptions are increasing and therefore you are more then able to spend money on the quality of Service.
Please solve this issue asap, otherwise a competitor of you will step into this gap and many of your subscribers will leave. This pandemic is all about change, I sincerely hope you can fix this for YOUR future: Kids using Zwift will become young-adults who will be your future-subscribers.
My sonâs account was deleted. I just finished filling out the new form. How can we recreate his account?
