VERY new subscriber/user on Zwift and I ABSOLUTLY Luv it.
This topic looks like it has been discussed in the past (2015, 2017, 2019) But not recently.
I just wish they would allow use to make the font bigger if needed.
I need reading glasses and have to wear them when I ride, I prefer not to but currently it is a must.
It’s now 2024, has there been any movement on the font issue? I am using an iPad.
PLUS, I can’t get a TV in my Man Cave/Home Gym to have a bigger screen.
Also another suggestion, with a dark map (top right hand corner of screen), you can not see where the hills are or when they are coming as the hill graphic if also in black, until you hit it.
Just my Thought, Ride On!

Hi @Sean_Kachmarski Welcome to Forums. This is Juan from Zwift. I understand how essential it is for you to have the peace of mind of seeing the font in the most appropriate size for your comfort.
Are you using the Companion app or Zwift main app? We have an in-game setting in the main app that will be helpful for you. The feature in question is “Display Scale”, which controls the size of the elements and text on screen. You will find that on setting in your profile→Sound & Display tab→Display Scale.
There are currently five options available for Home Screen Scaling:
- Extra Small
- Small
- Medium
- Large
- Extra Large
Regarding the suggestion with the minimap in the gradient view, You can click/touch on the map to toggle 3 different map views. This is also where you will see the grade of the incline or decline you are currently riding. The idea to see the hills without hit it is great! We appreciate your feedback.
I hope this information has been useful. If you have any other question, please let us know at zwift.com/contact-us. We will be delighted to help.
Thanks for the information.
However when I go to setting and sounds and display, all it shows is sounds.
Am I missing something?
Thanks in advance.
Sean

Hi Juan
i’m relying to this because of the up and coming HUD update i’ve seen on GPLama youtube channel today 2nd May 24. the setting you describe makes no difference. i mainly use an Apple TV with a 23cm monitor. this is my issue and to have the option to change HUD setting for font size, font & background colour will make a big difference in the contrast that will help my situation.
i’m having real issue seeing the HUD information due to font sizes being to small and the colour/contrast . this is because i have had a double cataract op so i had 1 eye for short distance and one eye for long, then a i had a semi detached retina as a result of this my short focus eye is even shorter. the one thing on the screen that is sort of in focus is the power number i have no chance seeing the rider list on the right. the screen is just in front of my front wheel by about 10-20cm to give an idea how close the screen is on a 23cm size screen. Please please in the hud update enable the option to change font sizes & background colour to help contrast and change the size of the font. it will also be good to have w/kg on the screen not just the phone app. i spend more time looking at my phone than the screen as i can see the numbers. this will be a great help. i use an Apple TV in the main but i do have a laptop. thanks
Juan’s post was made several months before the recent Home screen change before the scaling setting was removed. See My List and Home Screen Updates [April 2024]
