Family and Child Plan Request

I just wanted to attach a letter I recently submitted to the team at Zwift to further lend to the conversation and interest on this topic:

Dear Zwift Team,

I am currently researching indoor cycling solutions and strongly considering purchasing the Zwift Ride with KICKR CORE for both myself and my spouse. Zwift’s immersive platform is very appealing, and it seems like an excellent way for us to stay motivated and engaged with our training year-round.

However, one major obstacle I have encountered during this research is the absence of a family or multi-user membership option. While each rider understandably needs their own profile for accurate performance tracking, requiring two completely separate full-price memberships for a single household can make Zwift a difficult choice compared to other platforms that do offer family plans or bundled pricing.

This isn’t just a personal concern. I’ve noticed in the Zwift forums that many couples and families have voiced similar frustrations. The lack of a family-friendly subscription structure has led some to either share a single account—losing the value of personalized tracking—or, unfortunately, to choose other platforms entirely.

From a business perspective, introducing a family or household membership plan could provide Zwift with several advantages:

-Encourage entire households to commit to Zwift rather than splitting between different platforms.
-Reduce subscription churn by fostering long-term loyalty from families and couples.
-Increase overall revenue by retaining multiple users per household at a fair, bundled rate.
-Strengthen Zwift’s position as a community-driven platform that listens and responds to its riders.

As a prospective new customer, I would like to know if Zwift is actively exploring the possibility of offering family plans or discounted multi-user memberships. This would be an important factor in my purchasing decision, not only for myself but also for my spouse, who would both benefit from having our own individual Zwift experiences within one household subscription model.

Thank you for your time and consideration. I look forward to hearing whether this is on Zwift’s roadmap for the near future, as it could influence my decision to move forward with purchasing the Zwift Ride system.

Sincerely,
Caleb Valentine

My wife is starting indoor biking. We wouldn’t mind playing like 25 or 30€/month for 2 accounts. But 40 is way too much. I am cancelling my Zwift subscription and switching to Mywhoosh as long as there is no Zwift Family plan.

So instead of getting paid like 30€/month with both of us, Zwift will get 0.

I’d really want to hear the reasoning behind the lack of the family option? Although my wife would be thrilled to join me, 400 EUR a year for the two of us is really over the moon pricing …

I would like to see some discounted multi-user rate as well. My guess as to why it hasn’t happened yet is solely tech related.

Then again, this popular Health club doesn’t have family plans either

Hello all,

Is there any plans for that?

I started to use the app recently and i am satisfied, now my 3 kids and my wife does also want to try. Il would be ok to pay a premium for a Family account, but not to make the monthly fee x 5!

Will Zwift propose à solution?

Yes, but this is a 2018 topic, we are in 2025 (mostly 2026)! Zwift is not considering user’s input?

Since it hasn’t happened yet, I think it is safe to say they have considered user’s input and decided not to have a family plan.

I want Family plan!

Rouvy has a group rate (up to 5 riders on a discounted rate).

Agree, would pay a little more for additional user but not interested in double the cost (ie ~400USD for two users). Please consider family plans! I think you are losing money because people aren’t going to pay double or will use an alternative platform (right now my wife just uses peloton at her gym but would definitely use zwift if family plan available).

If a Family Plan was compatible with Zwift’s business plan, I’m sure it would have happened by now - since this has been a recurring topic for at least seven years.

If a Family Plan was compatible with Zwift’s business plan, they’ve have created one a long time ago.

The absence of a family/multi-user plan is the only reason I’m hesitant to purchase Zwift Ride.

Same here.

Interesting answer and thank you. How have Rouvy managed it?

Rouvy have managed a group plan which is very simple and significantly brings down the cost.

I just bought a Zwift Ride, but now that I realized that only one user profile can be setup I think I’m going to return this entire purchase. I assumed this was a mature product, much like any online streaming product and they could manage this and limit the logon to one profile at a time or even possibly on the connected device. I am not against additional fee for addition fee per user but there are several reasons for having a single account with multiple users. Bottom line I won’t pay for 2 separate accounts.

This seems quite unusual to me, as I have an iFit treadmill, which allows for five different profiles on the same account on the same treadmill. Similarly, other memberships in our household, such as Netflix, SkyShowtime, and Max, all offer multiple profiles.
