ERG mode and active ride stopped during a workout. Although pedaling, the bike remains at zero and the bike stops. In the attached workout after 41 minutes.
I think this has occurred repeatedly since Kickr Core firmware 1.5.36
After restarting pedaling, ERG mode only works after repeatedly switching ERG mode on and off
Firmware Kickr Core 1.5.36. Zwift 1.77 and 1.77.2
Is there a solution?
I had something similar, except I could keep peddling. See Wahoo trainers with Virtual Shifting Issue: "Free Watts" | October 2024 - #265 by David_Knight2. Only done two workouts in the last week both simple recovery rides. Occurred on both rides.
I did two workouts since Kickr firmware 1.5.36. I had this problem with both workouts. With firmware 1.5.5 and older Zwift versions these problems were not.

I tried my recovery ride today on the laptop. Same issue, every so often the ride would seem ERG off and back on, and it went back to ERG mode until the next time. Analysis in Zwiftalizer shows no drops, which I would not have expected since the app was still showing watts. Is it possible for someone at Zwift to check what is happening at their end? @shooj?
I ride my yellow unicorn workout today. In this workout there was no dropout with 0 watts and ERG off on this ride. Strange.
Yeah I’m still having it too. But nobody else seems to have. I wonder what we have in common?

I use Zwift 1.77.2 on Windows 11 and a Dell XPS 13 Intel Core i7 2in1 Notebook. Otherwise Hardware Zwift Ride and the Wahoo Kickr Core with latest firmware 1.5.36.
The error does not occur every ride. I currently only use the workout plan “Build me up”.
If this occurs during the FTP test, I freak out ![ ](https://emoji.discourse-cdn.com/twitter/smiley.png?v=12)
I am using an older Windows 10 Lenovo with latest Core firmware and Zwift version. So the thing in common is the Core (or Windows). But I’ve had the same problem running Zwift from my Samsung S20FE.
Do you use the companion app when zwifting? I use it on a different different phone.
I use Zwift only on Windows and the Companion App on Samsung S24 Ultra.
All devices (Garmin HRM Dual, Zwift Ride Controller, Kickr Core) connected directly via Blutooth on Zwift Windows.
The Companion App does not run during the workout.
Bluetooth here too. I always have the companion app running. Have you used Zwiftalizer to check for Bluetooth drop outs? My rides had no drop outs and just toggling erg off and on again fixes the problem for a few minutes before it recurs.
Yes I checked the log file with zwiftalyzer. There are no Bluetooth drop outs.
This time I waited a few seconds. After cycling again, I think 10 seconds, ERG activated itself
But why does everything stop at full power? In my example at 300 watts. The hardness resistance of the Kickr Core remained, but the bike in Zwift stopped with 0 watts and 0 cadence.
Is there a problem with auto spindown calibration?

This is slightly different to my case, it’s just like erg gets switched off so I’m incline mode with watts and bike movement but the erg switch in the companion app is still on. Toggling erg off and on fixes it.
