Epic KOM Bypass

To the dev(s) and/or artist(s) that made this piece of road. It is the nicest stretch of road in Watopia and maybe all of Zwift. :ride_on: :ride_on:

Coco may make an appearance there in a few weeks

Thank you for the reminder. I hadn’t ridden that route for ages, but I did it this morning and I had forgotten how enjoyable it is.

This is interesting. A new route for the blue pace partner? I’m excited!

I’ve swapped out S+S for Ocean Lava Cliffside Loop in the next cycle for a bit of a change.

Very nice choice. I suspect this will be a winner!

That stretch of road is woefully under used in my opinion - I think only the Cliffside loop route uses it (and even then only in the west to east direction). In my opinion Zwift missed a trick when they created the most recent new routes - I’d have sent something like Legends and Lava up there instead of through the underwater tunnel like virtually every other routes already does.

Just a reverse version of that route would be very welcome. I love Ocean Lava Cliffside Loop.A reverse version would also allow an easier option to ride the bypass section and then turn straight onto the Epic KOM route anyway!

I like to pick Mountain route. The start is a nice warmup. Go up Epic. Skip the “bonus” climb. Go down and then take the Bypass back to Epic for another trip up. You can start the second effort at the Bypass, or when you finish the Bypass, reach Epic and start climbing again.

Izzat a real route?

Nah, just made it up with some turns.

What about the Radio tower? LOL

Epic in both directions was enough for this afternoon

Well it should be a real route… WITHOUT Radio Tower…

Make your own route

Be nice to have a race route that started at the ADZ pens and went left and across the epic bypass before leading elsewhere.

You could do a nice hilly fig 8 route with that, would match Innsbruck for a easy climbing day during the winter.

That’s a good shout, starting from different pens would change things up a bit.

It’s almost like I designed it for them years ago. I think I started playing with these maps midway through 2018.
