Elite Turbo Muin Smart B+ with Giant Power Meter

Hi all,

I’m looking for some assistance in determining if my power readings are outputting correctly within Zwift.

I use an Elite Turbo Muin Smart B+ trainer but have a Giant Power Pro power meter, used via my Giant Trinity Advanced Pro (2021) time trial bike.

Within the pairing screen when starting a ride, I’m presented with an option to connect via the Elite Turbo Muin power, which as I understand is a “ZPower” reading and I’m also presented with an option to connect via the Giant Power Pro power meter.

I always connect via the Giant Power Pro power meter, but having read reviews of the inaccurate power readings transmitted from Elite Turbo Muin power meters, I wanted to check if there should be any impact on the accuracy of the Giant Pro power meter when I connect using the trainer, even though I’m not directly using the “ZPower” option of the trainer?

Any help would be appreciated!

Hi Patrick

The Turbo Muin has no affect on your Giant power meter. So as long as you connect to Zwift with that there should be no issues.

If you use Zwift a lot and has the means i would still recommend an upgrade to a trainer like the Zwift Hub or Kickr Core, that connects to Zwift and adjust resistance according to the terrain. For me it was like night and day when i changed back in 2020 from a similar setup as you to a Kickr V5
