Hi folks
I completed epic KOM rides 2 times and other climbs all added to the MT. Everest challenge.
I pick a route today and was riding I saw a detour to Alpe Du Swift so I climbed the whole mt. Man I was happy only find out the climb did not count towards the Everest challenge. All other climbing did. I’m only at level 6 and I’m a new zwifter maybe thats why ?
Any input on this would be great
Thanks love this world
I’m interested in the reply to this. I have read in a number of places that the Alpe isn’t accessible on a solo free ride until you hit Level 10. Road to Sky was I think the second workout I did, when I was Level 4. The barrier was red, but I was able to ride right through it. Did the ride, got the badge, got the gloves from the wheel, etc. (Edit: just checked, I was Lvl 3 when I rode through the red barrier. Lvl 5 by the time I reached the bottom again.)
So I wonder if there is something broken with the level limitation on the Alpe, and if maybe that affected you. Watching this for more info.
During the Stay-@-Home era Zwift lowered the requirement to Level 6. I have not heard/read that it has gone back up to 10.
I would flag Zwift Support with the issue. That is a bug that makes people very unhappy. It should count for the Challenge…at least IMHO.
I remember riding though a green sort of curtain. I hope to get a credit of elevation for this if possible .seeking to earn Tron bike I’m 65 losing that effort would be ahhhhhhhh ok but you know 3000+ feet is like losing 50bucks ha ha
I’d say there was a bug on that level restriction too. It was most def red when I rode through it at Lvl 3.
Humm I emailed them so I’ll be sure to contact you when I hear back
Thanks I only benefited from any bugs, so my thing isn’t so important, but I appreciate it. Hope they figure yours out, they’re pretty good about that sort of thing.

Have you actually selected the Everest Challenge in the game? Are you possibly logged in to Zwift on multiple devices?
This is the same issue you posted about here recently correct?
https://forums.zwift.com/t/elevation-contributed-to-mount-everest-climb
Not sure why the Alpe wouldn’t have given you any elevation unless you ended up disconnected or something.
What day did you sign up for the Everest challenge?
Could you post a screenshot of your Everest challenge ft climbed.
Hey all - I merged two different threads into one because they were both started by the same OP. Hi @Joseph_Grenier welcome to Zwift forums, hope you don’t mind.
I did select the challenge all my epic KOM climbs were added. And any other elevations accumulated were added. For some reason the California challenge also had some mileage added her so both challenges were receiving data.
You can only be signed up for one challenge at a time. So if you are seeing miles added to the Tour California you would not be seeing any elevation added for the Everest Challenge.
Maybe the 19 or 20 or 21 of November this year
I’m brand new to this game/ platform/ world
It’s such a great experience
Thank you. I can’t make your elevation figures add up from your activity ride reports so I can’t really help further.
I have one suggestion but this is really only a test to confirm you have the Everest challenge selected and then whether elevation gets added or not. I know you like climbing so:
Select the Road to Sky again.
Start the ride and immediately take a screenshot of your Everest challenge.
Ride the Alpe again ( if you can’t or don’t feel like doing all of it that doesn’t matter)
When you have had enough, if you don’t get to the top, (but I expect you will ) do a U-turn and get free miles riding/coasting to the bottom.
Finish your ride and take another screenshot of your Everest challenge figures.
Were the ride feet climbed added this time to the starting figure. If they were possibly not much you can do but if by any chance they are not all added you at least have something to take to Zwift Support.
Interesting that his profile is showing as being under review - I suspect Support have done that while they figure out whats gone wrong and try to address, given the discrepancies we are seeing.
I just wondered whether it was something to do with the move from level 10 to 6. But if so wouldn’t we have heard about it from others. But then again how many new Zwifters enrol quickly onto the Everest challenge?
Thank you so much for your time I appreciate it very much, at least I accomplished Alpe Du zwift !!!
I will do it again love it
