Dying powermeter battery causes strange spikes

I use a stages power meter and knew I was close to requiring a new battery when I started getting periodic disconnections in both TrainerRoad and Zwift. TrainerRoad seemed to handle the disconnections fine. Zwift however would show my wattage as a large spike (1200+ watts) after the ANT+ connection was reconnected. The strangest part was sometimes it would hold that wattage for a few seconds, propelling my avatar up the road at ridiculous speed until everything stabilized.

Now that I’ve replaced my battery, everything is fine.

Eric I’ve seen this happen after an ANT+ drop out. There seems to be some kind of power surge coming back in from a drop out. I got the 1200w blow dryer achievement because of this…
