D100 home trainer with Zwift cog and click QR adaptor not coming off

Hi everyone! Looking for any support here. I’ve seen quite a few forums about this but they were all quite old. I’ve got a 142 thru axle road bike and have been trying to get the QR adaptor off my Zwift cog but it is impossible to remove. Assuming this is the correct step to take if I have a thru axle?

I sadly don’t have many tools at home.

Appreciate any help!!

The QR adapter has a fitting for a hex wrench. I’m not sure exactly which size but I’m guessing either 5 or 6 mm.

If anyone can confirm that it’s not actually screwed on, then a knife blade a thin flat screwdriver behind it should get it moving so that you can lever/pull it out.

Tracking a video down via DC Rainmaker

Then checking out Magene T110 Smart bike trainer details it appears, as Paul suggested, this quick release cap is unscrew with 5mm Allen wrench.

super helpful! Will make sure to give it a try

The 5 mm Allen wrench worked great. Not thrilled that it took 30+ minutes of Googling to find the answer, though. The instructions provided with the product don’t mention it.
