Yep, there are a few special places.
I got my 800, 900 and 1kW badges in London on Surrey Hills.
There is one, when you go through the KOM Arch there is a long strip of 0% where you can spin the trainer up, then comes a short, steep climb. There you can give all you have and learn hating your trainer 
Unfortunately I can never remember which is Box Hill, Fox Hill, Keith Hill and Leith Hill
