I think the 100km/h badge is hard to get, tried it a few times, fastest was 95km/h.
Also the 100 miles badge, I barely made it 100km far.
And I still struggle at the 1100W and 1.21GW, but that needs a bit of training.
The 25x Vulcano Lap is doable, just boring as h€ll.
I found the best place to do this is on the way down from the Epic KOM towards the jungle. There is a bump on the down hill, spin as fast as jou can just before the bump when you hit the bump you will generate huge watts when the trainer apply the brakes.
Yep, there are a few special places.
I got my 800, 900 and 1kW badges in London on Surrey Hills.
There is one, when you go through the KOM Arch there is a long strip of 0% where you can spin the trainer up, then comes a short, steep climb. There you can give all you have and learn hating your trainer
Unfortunately I can never remember which is Box Hill, Fox Hill, Keith Hill and Leith Hill
Since I created this post there have been a number of route achievements added.
Can anyone tell me if, similar to the other achievements, there is an additional xp bonus awarded for completing the a route for the first time and unlocking the route achievement?
yes you will get same amount of XP as you will get for normal cycling this route. Like double XP for first time of any route
I made the badge volcano 5x, volcano 25x, 100km and 100 miles in one ride, so it‘s only so hard like the 160km are, but in one 100km ride are the most of them possible too.
Ehh set your own personal goals and work towards them. Chasing badges doesn’t necessarily lend itself to achieving your personal goals. Unless your personal goal is to unlock badges.
I like chasing after the badges though. It adds a bit of fun to Zwift IMO.
Chasing the badges is a good way to see all the different parts of Zwift as well as do some different things (e.g., force yourself to sprint, ride longer, etc…)
