Updated my companion app on my iPhone 15 (still on iOS 17 as I was afraid of the other companion app bug) and now the companion app is not available on my Apple Watch.
Hi @Rachel_Siemens, I appreciate you bringing your concerns back to the forums! This is Monica from Zwift. I completely understand how crucial it is for you to find out why the Zwift Companion app isn’t showing up on your Apple Watch anymore. Thank you for sharing those screenshots; they were incredibly useful for our investigation.
As mentioned in the article, the Zwift Companion App is currently only supported on the devices listed there. If you have any further questions, feel free to contact us at support@zwift.com.
It sounds like they have iOS 17, so based on that article they should see the app correct?
Hey Aaron. I think Monica is a bot unfortunately. It should have worked for iOS 17. I ended up downloading iOS 18 and updating my watch. The companion app showed up about 7 hrs later on my watch. I have no explanation as to why. After figuring out the new permissions in the Health app, I can now use the glitchy Companion App for Apple Watch as I did before!
I ended up downloading the latest iOS and updating my Apple Watch. The app showed up about 7 hrs later. I’m not sure why it suddenly came back again.
No companion app on watch, therefore no hear rate connection for Apple Watch.
Since downloading the new IOS 18 2 days ago (1/6/25) the Zwift companion app on the Apple Watch has disappeared and I cannot figure out how to add it back in order to track my HR on Zwift. Anyone else have this problem?
Seems like this happens often when there’s an update and it takes a few days to get fixed. (by looking at threads from previous years)
Hi, as of this morning the Zwift Companion app is not showing on my Apple Watch so I can’t use HR. My IOS on phone and watch is up to date and the companion app is up to date?
I’ll have to try this. My companion app disappeared after downloading iOS 18 also. So you’re saying I should go into the Health app, and there might be an option to add it back?
This hasn’t worked for me sadly
Same happened to me. Looks like they dropped support for watchOS 10. Do you happen to have a watch that didn’t get the watchOS 11 update? I have the Series 4 and this is the first app in my collection to drop support for any device on watchOS 10.
How about trying the Heartcast app? That works for a lot of people. Occasionally I hear from someone who finds it unusable but most of the time it solves the problem. https://www.heartcast.app/
Hey Jared. I’m sorry you are having similar issues. I ended up updating both my Apple Watch and iPhone to the latest iOS. Initially when I went into apps under the Apple Watch, the Companion App wasn’t there to add but then about 7 hrs later, it showed up.
If it does show up for you, make sure to go into the Health app and grant the Companion app access to all the measurements. That seemed to work for me.
Good luck!
Oh no! My watch is the SE so on OS 10
Hey everyone, thanks for reporting the Apple Watch issue. This was not planned, and we’re investigating why it went away in Companion v3.65. We’ll update this thread when we have more information.
Question for you all that will help us help you: what version of watchOS is on your watch? Here’s how you can find out.
The watch app disappeared for me too. I have an Apple Watch Series 4 using WatchOS 10.6.1.
Luckily it looks like it was a mistake, but for now the App Store does show that you need to be on watchOS 11.1, so all of us on ~10 are temporarily out of luck
The Companion app disappeared with the update. Nothing to even install. What’s up?
